Thanks,
Rich.
p.s. anyone heard from borat52 - he's gone quiet?

Bob's confirmed that he's happy to add you in, please can you PM me confirmation that you want to attend and I'll PM you his contact details, there's a £100 deposit to be made by card over the phone. In the meantime he's going to check his diary for later this month to confirm a date for you.

Rich.

I would be really interested to know what the levels of gains are and the driveabillity of the car.
I'm up for that, I've spent this afternoon fighting with injectors and spark plugs, looking forward to tomorrow now, everything I wanted to do to the car is done, besides the brakes! I have some better brakes here, but they will have to go on next week.
Just to say thanks to Trap2Terrorist for sorting this group buy out, got my map done today, all went well, apart from discovering a faulty lambda sensor, and Bob said we got about 320bhp. Not bad for Forester that is 177bhp standard. He also said we could have got 15-20bhp more on optimax, but I can't get it easily so I only had it mapped on tesco super unleaded.
Had the mapping done yesterday and according to Bob the car is now at about 330BHP
. Last time I had it on a rolling road at Power Engineering it was making 296BHP.
Had some fun on the way home, the car seems so much more driveable now and is holding on to boost much longer. Throwing it into corners you no longer find that you need another gear half way around.
So a big thanks to Trap 2 Terrorist
for setting this one up and to Bob for doing such an excellent job. For all the guys going next weekend you will not be disappointed.

Sounds good - just the turbo swap to do this week and I am ready for Sunday
Did the fuel pump and intercooler piping on the weekend.
Cannon - is it all arranged for your place on Sunday? Could you PM direction/address if so? Cheers.

I just have to replace the dump valve and fit a Perrin 3 port boost control solenoid to mine.

I am assuming that borat52 is still coming as he has not posted recently.

Good to see those that have had it done were as happy with the results as I was. For those who haven't been yet, you don't get a rolling road type print out because the power run is done on the road, however Bob is able to calculate the horsepower at the wheels by a quick blast up the road and factoring in wheel/tyre size, etc. Then you add a percentage on top to cater for transmission loss and you get a rough figure for bhp at the fly wheel.
Mine made 270 at the wheels which is 330-340 at the fly wheel. The reason for the 10bhp variance is to allow for differences with rolling road setups, so one RR might say 330bhp and another might say 340bhp.
Torque figures are estimated more than anything but Bob reckoned my lb ft torque figure would be "at least the same as my bhp figure"
Although he did say that torque figures are often less on RR's than when on the road because of the way the rollers provide resistence, which is totally different to the resistence the wheels/car experience on the road. Interesting stuff if you ask me
I'm sure you'll all be pleased with the results, it's also a good day out, interesting to see him weave his magic

Time is cool for me at the mo (like a lie-in on the weekend!), but I don't mind it being a bit earlier.

I've booked my car in to the garage for Monday to do the work.
Can you PM me Bobs contact details so that I can pay the deposit and arrange a time to get my car done.
Cheers
Andy

"can do 23rd May (Sat) at 16:30, otherwise we are into mid June"
Andy we need to discuss the date, free slots don't stay free very long and I advised that one about a week ago, "may" still be ok though. A better date (firm) is the 30th May at 11:00 am. If you want that then I can book you in right now.
send me a text
oh also need full car model/model year and spec
cheers

Has anyone heard from borat52 is he still coming on Sunday?
He is booked in the first slot and I think it is only right that he lets Bob know so if needed the order can be rejigged and of course it would be not so worthwhile for Bob either.
To Bob and STiX I will be there from around 8.30am and there will be coffee, tea, water or soft drinks available FOC plus I am pretty mean with the toaster as well.
Also does anybody need any clarification on the address?

Correct, if you can organise 3 or 4 cars and an appropriate mapping location, he'll come to you. Otherwise you'll need to go to him......
Bob/Andy - apologies if I caused the delay in passing on the info for Andy's possible date on 23rd, I've been pretty busy over the past week or so........

No Thanks Bob Rawle and his partner Bronco run such a loose operation a complete and utter shambles !!
I tried on 3 occasions to make a booking for a map never returned my calls. He may be good at what he does but his customer service is a joke !!

If you rang the web site number then its possible that you had a problem, if you contacted me directly (which I don't believe you did) then you would not have.
Please provide me some detail of your failed attempts and I will investigate to establish what went wrong, it always disappointing to hear things like this.
You can pm me directly from this site at any time of course ... again I have no record of one.
cheers

Thanks to all for this GB - just got back from mapping and car is running sweet as.
Cheers Bob Ty & T2T
Power runs were a bit difficult due to hammering rain but Bob reckons mid 320s for peak power - and 1bar by 3k. Which is nice

Bob fitted my 3 port boost solenoid before the mapping which I cannot thank him enough for.
We achieved 285bhp and an amazing torque figure of around 390lbs torque which really surprised me.
I cannot recommend Bob enough and if anyone needs their car remapping contact Bob, it is no wonder his services are in such demand.

Hope my tea and coffee making services were up to scratch as well.

Sounds like we had a successful GB with all of us satisfied customers.
With regard to be negative comments from the guy earlier, people who are in demand can often be difficult to get time with but Bob has always returned my calls and emails, even if there's sometimes been a few days delay, due to him being in far flung parts of the world.
I'm very happy with my results and will be going back once I've had my mods fitted
