Default ## Bob Rawle Mapping Group Buy ##

## Please note that due to Bob's current commitments, the first available dates for mapping are 10th May ##

Right, I've agreed a GB with Bob on mapping/remaps and I've already managed to drum up 5 people in the South Wales region, including myself.

The details are below and I intend to run this for a few weeks (mine's booked in for the 11th April) so get in quick before it closes. Cost and requirements below, we need a minimum of 6 cars and at least 4 need to include the ECUTEK (or equivalent) license as part of the purchase (that's where we're missing out at the moment).

- Other ecu's can be mapped as well of course so need to know.
- We need six cars minimum say four of the full type minimum the rest could be either.
- £100 deposit payable up front to Bob to confirm your booking

Costs

ECUTEK
- Full map with no licence = £430 plus vat
- Full map with existing license = £280 plus vat

Simtek
SIM_01 SIMTEK plug in ECU MY01-05 no ALS inc mapping £1,050.00 +vat £1,207.50

SIM_01_ALS SIMTEK plug in ECU MY01-05 plus ALS inc mapping £1,200.00 +vat £1,380.00

SIM_93 SIMTEK plug in ECU MY93-98 no ALS inc mapping £800.00 +vat £920.00

SIM_93_ALS SIMTEK plug in ECU MY93-98 plus ALS inc mapping £950.00 +vat £1,092.50

SIM_99 SIMTEK plug in ECU MY99-00 no ALS inc mapping £895.00 +vat £1,029.25

SIM_99_ALS SIMTEK plug in ECU MY99-00 plus ALS inc mapping £1,045.00 +vat £1,201.75

SIM_SOFT SIMTEK software package £95.00 +vat £109.25

SIM_IAT Air Intake Temperature sensor £15.00 +vat £17.25

Motec800
£320 plus vat assuming the ecu is already in situ

1. Trap2Terrorist (ecutek remap, no current ecutek license)
2. Richy B (SimTek remap, currently mapped by Andy F)
3. wrxgreen (ecutek map currently mapped by jgm ) depends on date
4. REDBULL2 ( ecutek map currently mapped by power station)
5. daz and minty (ecutek map currently mapped by power station)
6.
7.

Any more for any more, we need at least one more, preferably a couple more due to most of us having existing ECUTEK licenses ???

I have a 1999 sti 5. Am i correct in thinking it can be mapped with ecutek?
If so I am in, would just need to know when the mapping can be done as I'm having a few bits done to the car now, late april/early may would be ideal for me.

Where is he based? Does he map on the road or rollers? Would there be any restriction on dates?

Responses to {hopefully} everyone below:-

beastra - I've asked bob about both questions (can it be mapped and before 12th April)

dlynch - he's based near Swindon

matscooby - I've asked whether he can map this as required

borat52 - I wouldn't have thought the timescales or the ecutek are an issue but I've asked for confirmation

mixman x - he's based near Swindon in Wiltshire, he maps on the road and I wouldn't have thought there's a limit on timescales as long as it's paid for in the next month or so.....(more on that later)

kingofthehill - not sure, possibly but probably better if you ask him because you've already got a booked appointment...

daz1968 - he's based near Swindon, I guess a couple of hours from you (plenty of road to enjoy the new "POWER!" on the way home ) Add your name to the list with what you want done (eg. full ecutek map) if you're in.

scooby-matt - I've asked the question.....

## Please note that I have agreed with Bob that all those who want to proceed need to pay a deposit to Bob to confirm their mapping. I would say £100 is probably fair, not too much up front but enough to ensure we're serious about being involved in the GB. I'll confirm payment method and details when I speak to him tomorrow ##

Hi, I have a MY 1997 UK turbo, does it need a new ECU or can it be mapped? If so, what are the prices?

Also, as I have no clue about mapping, does the full map with no license mean you can't get it mapped again? Sorry, I'm confused!

Thanks

Hi mate, not sure whether this year can take an ecutek license/mapping but I'll ask.

The full map with no license mean the cost will be higher because you have to pay for a license for the mapping software, eg. an ecutek license. If the car's already been mapped it will already have a license so the cost will be less because you are only paying for the mappers time, to remap the ecu.

I'm having a new Turbo, injectors etc fitted at Tileys of Subaru on 1st April and have a full first remap booked with Bob on 3rd April.

Can you enquiry as to whether I can come in on this Group Buy despite already booked in?

FYI my name is Rich Gait and it's an 03 WRX Prodrive.

Cheers !

gaity - like with kingofthehill, it may be better for you to ask because you already have an existing appointment with him. That said, I have advised him that both of you want to join the GB so see what he says.

Definitely interested in this, would need full licence and map but may just wait to see how much simtec is first.

Answers to your questions.

1. beastra - No this cannot be mapped and would need an aftermarket ecu (Simtek)

2. matscooby - Yes but recommend Simtek, much better result

3. borat52 - Early may is possible, no problem mapping this MY of car

4. Scooby-matt (and anyone else requesting Simtek costs)

What’s the price of a full Simtek mapping?

SIM_01 SIMTEK plug in ECU MY01-05 no ALS inc mapping £1,050.00 +vat £1,207.50

SIM_01_ALS SIMTEK plug in ECU MY01-05 plus ALS inc mapping £1,200.00 +vat £1,380.00

SIM_93 SIMTEK plug in ECU MY93-98 no ALS inc mapping £800.00 +vat £920.00

SIM_93_ALS SIMTEK plug in ECU MY93-98 plus ALS inc mapping £950.00 +vat £1,092.50

SIM_99 SIMTEK plug in ECU MY99-00 no ALS inc mapping £895.00 +vat £1,029.25

SIM_99_ALS SIMTEK plug in ECU MY99-00 plus ALS inc mapping £1,045.00 +vat £1,201.75

SIM_SOFT SIMTEK software package £95.00 +vat £109.25

SIM_IAT Air Intake Temperature sensor £15.00 +vat £17.25

Bob could allow a discount of £40 off a supplied ecu price if two or more otherwise as above

5. sabas - No needs Simtek

6. kingofthehill & gaity - "They are too late, the group buy is for future customers not existing bookings, I appreciate people asking though, depending on the car and time involved I will look at a small discount if possible but no guarantee. The guy on April 3rd must be at Tilley’s and that’s through them not direct so not possible. I travel like that for a single car as a service to trade, there are travel costs involved as well."

Additional info:-

- For those of you wanting you Simtek remapped, Bob will need the serial number of the Simtek ecu because he will need to obtain a software patch to gain access.

- With regard to deposit payment, please phone Bob with a valid credit/debit card number and pay and registered card address, he will then take payment of a £100 deposit (I'm doing mine today).
__________________________________________________ _______________

wrxgreen - I'll get confirmation of his first available date

ajf - I've asked the question

wrxgreen - the first available date for a single remap would be 10th May, however he could travel on that day and do three or four as long as we arrange a suitable location.

ajf - "Cost for a M800 remap would be £320 plus vat assuming the ecu is already in situ, I don’t use what’s already there as I have my own methods with that ecu having used one myself for nearly four years."

Hi Daz and/or Minty

The earliest is 10th May (I know it's some way off but he's off to Vietnam and China soon) but he can do 3 or 4 that day if we organise a good place to meet him. If there's a few from S. Wales you could always drive up to Swindon together to get them done.
