Guys,

Not sure if it is of any use, but if anyone wants to see in the flesh I will be at the RR day on Sat at PE, albeit I have to leave late morning. Having seen Paul's pic above does look exactly like mine.

Again, no connection to the buy or supplier, but I know how hard it can be deciding what to spend your dosh on

Matt

How do these pod fit in the car?
I know the lid comes off and they sit in the recess, but how are they secured in place?

Can i just say i've owned nito and the craig/dinghy defi's, ive also had the subaru gauge pod (which is still sitting in the garage) and scoobymania pod and I have no particular alleigance to anyone supplier listed here.

nitos are not just stuck on carbon, thats a bit of an injustice in case anyone is wondering and the pod is 'probably' imho the best in terms of build quality from any of the ones ive had, tho to be fair was also the most expensive.

however the pod i got from nam is also very good (in terms of fitting) tho the finish isnt brilliant (on mine) and doesnt quite match the dash as well as id hoped (its kinda strange, like its a stipled finish rather than matching smooth/shiny dash. But for the money is still a great pod and one i'd recommend as well as nitos.

Just comes down to having carbon etc which i didnt want the second time around.

The POD's that We do come from the same supplier that defi use, how can they be different.

NITO's pods are not Carbon Fibre, they are Carbon Effect, i know its not just stick on, but they are the original pods taken and have this effect done, so the only difference is the price and the look.

Thumbs up

Speedking, as Dingy quite rightly said they are turned off Having said that when you are "off" boost they do show below 0, I think it is something to do with a vacuum being created - but I don't understand it!

Still haven't had a reply to my earlier thread about what price NAM used to sell these for - sure it was £450 incl VAT on their website about a month ago??

The RRP may be ~£700, but what price are these going to be sold for after the group buy - just get the feeling at the mo that this isn't such a great price? - especially when I now see that Sccobymania are going to be selling them at ~£432 incl VAT and p&p - and that's not part of a group buy.

Dave,

I have these gauges in my car and bougth them as part of a group buy.

Ask nito how much they should sell for.

discounts can be had, there is no question, btu you need to compare the product and price to the cost of other gauges. If you see the quality and features of these things, then for £450 you are laughing regardless of how much other peopel sell them for.

I personally think that scoobymania are selling them for less because their pod is less to make/sell. You have to decide which pod you prefer the look of. I have the defi personally, plus it allows me 60mm gauges whereas the scoobyamnia doesn't.

At £450 I cant imagine there is much profit being made, so if mikes is not part of a group buy I can only assume his prices are not going to go up on this kit.

I dont personally see what affect the group buy status has on things. The price has been confirmed regardless of numbers, so what difference does it make to the individual how many other units are sold?

That is the price surely you take it or leave it?

OK, didn't want to start a price war. This was a natural progression for us, as we were selling Defi stuff nearly 2 years ago, (even before Nito),

It had gone on a back burner as we just didn't have the resources to pursue it but with our continued expansion we have had the time to do something with it.

I'm not going to get into a price war with Dingy, (or Nito) or argue about the quality of our own manufactured items. Indeed I wish him all the best in his brand new company.

We have spent a lot of time on this and had not wanted to throw a stick in anybody's spokes. At the end of the day, this should be good news for the customers, we are here all the time and will continue to sell and support a whole range of products, some of which may or may not be available at other places/companies/ventures Etc.

Mike.

Adam

We do have a pod capable of taking 60mm gauges on the pre-new age car, it's only available in wavy design (unless demand dictates otherwise) at the moment though.

Information on our web site will be updated when our stock has actually landed.
