RTM and Online icon issues
Ok, the "Online" icon I'm not at all fussed about, but the RTM icon being missing is somewhat problematic.
I know it's previously been mentioned that it could be the cache server causing the problem, and a refresh should fix it, but a single refresh does not always fix the issue. Sometimes it can take multiple forced refreshes before the RTM icon shows up, other times I need to clear the browser cache, quit and relaunch the browser and re-load the page before it'll show up.
It's not just a Safari issue as I've seen it in Firefox too.
I've viewed the page source and the code for displaying the icon is indeed present, so it must simply be the image not being loaded for some reason.
I know it's a small issue compared to others, and if I really need to RTM a post then I can do it the hard way (View source and find the report link for the appropriate post), but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

You want bugs
Where is the add post /reply buttons for this thread? lol
Full width pages, erm sadly no, (what size monitors are you running on if the pages are set up to make the rest of the BB software work?) 12" prehaps lol
Page formatting, page one of this thread is grey bordered, and centralised
Page two is expanded, no grey borders, however it still isnt central, and the formatting is all wrong
page three is missing buttons and has grey borders and no buttons
Mart

The buttons have NOT been removed from any memberships.
The IB content server we now go through seems to cause caching problems for some people who have used SN regularly, I am unsure why this is technically but I do know the problem is local to the user and simple to fix. The fix often brings substantial sped improvements too. This was proved beyond all doubt o PassionFord recently when many members refused to believe us and suffered for weeks until they gave in and followed our advice. The fix is as follows:
Perform the following tasks in this order:
1) Delete your temporary internet cache.
2) If you have login problems, delete your cookies too.
2) Turn off your PC.
3) Power off and back on your internet router.
4) Turn on your PC.
5) Reload scoobynet via this address only www.scoobynet.com. Do NOT use a stored link as this will cause you problems. Start afresh.
That should fix the majority of template and login problems people are seeing at the moment.

I get this quite a lot too. At the bottom of the thread, there is no "post reply" button on the left had side. The only option i've got its to use the quick reply, unless i quote someone.
Sometimes its there, sometimes not

This computer i'm currently running only had firefox installed yesterday afternoon as its a fresh ghost image (i'm a sysadmin ), so any cookies or temp internet files would have only been populated since then.
Based on what you say above, i'd suggest you check the web server's IIS cache (or Apache's caching to memory, whatever its called under apache if you use that). All of the frequently requested files like this button are going to be cached in the ram for fast access - could explain why so many people are having this issue
edit/ but saying all that, this thread does have a reply button - it clearly seems to be an intermittant issue......

Ok chaps, here's a thought. Open the links below, copy the link and paste it into notepad/textedit/whatever. Clear cache and history in your browser, then quit and relaunch browser. Pick one of the links, copy it, paste it in the URL bar, hit return, see if it loads the image.
* edit *
I've run a few more tests and just noticed that I don't actually see the Post Reply button either. I must have overlooked this in the past as I use Quick Reply.
Anyway, I've cleared cache and history, quit and relaunched the browser (Safari 3 on OS X 10.5.6) and accessed each of the links I posted in turn.
Post Reply, RTM and User Offline did not display anything, even after multiple refreshes. The User Online icon did display first time without issue.
Very odd indeed.
I'm going to repeat the tests with clearing cookies (not sure if that would make a difference as these are direct URL's so I'd presume the cookies would not be used) and will report back what I find.
Code:
Post Reply Button = http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:bbs.scoobynet.com/get/images/citytales/buttons/reply.gif RTM = http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:bbs.scoobynet.com/get/images/citytales/buttons/report.gif User Offline = http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:bbs.scoobynet.com/get/images/citytales/statusicon/user_offline.gif User Online = http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:bbs.scoobynet.com/get/images/citytales/statusicon/user_online.gif

That's because you're special
Ok, run a few tests, and this is mighty strange.
I clear cache and history, quit, clear cookies just in case, then launch browser.
If I load the urls (all in new windows) in this order; Reply, report, user_offline, user_online, then the only one that displays off the bat is the user_online. Once it's displayed I try multiple refreshes on the others, no joy.
If I clear things out again, quit, launch, and open them in this order; user_online, user_offline, report, reply, then they all load!
I've tried various other orders and only that one works. Perhaps it's something to do with it somehow being able to get the user_online image and that's then allowing it to get the others?
Once I've done my voodoo magic, the icons will persist until I clear the cache, at which point, the reply, report, and user_offline icons will not display. To get them to display again I need to quit and relaunch the browser and then load them in the aforementioned order.
Stu - If you have any procedures/scripts you want me to try, I'm more than happy to give them a shot.

New Problem:
The format of the forum directory page has changed and the column widths are narrower. The forum title column should be mider than the others but its now squeezed to the left.

Well, like others on here, I too have no RTM button and no way of responding to a post other than quick reply.
I have posted such several times, in two different places, but as yet, have not had a response at all, other than one from Kieran saying he will pass it on up.
I HAVE followed all the procedures outlined in Stu's posts, (both of them), but to no avail.
I'm not sure how helpful simply repeating a previous post is, either.
