And on topic, I agree, a lot of coppers are stuck so far up there own backside. They should leave their attitude at the station and treat us like normal people. ATEOTD they are PUBLIC SERVANTS and they should remember this. It doesn't matter how overstretched or under pressure they are (all public servants are) and they are still accountable for their actions. If they are that rude and condescending, take their name and number and complain. If you don't nothing will change.

I'll think you'll find they're CROWN SERVANTS.

The police, like the armed forces are crown servants, but that is more to do with their status as workers rather than employees and the rights they have such as the freedom to join a trade union. Whether they like it or not they were created to serve the public and not the state, despite any oath to the Monarch and are hence, public servants.

On a slightly different note I drove past a mobile speed trap van in Bracknell earlier with the sneaky spy hatch in the back doors- written on the side of it... "Incident prevention unit"... are they taking the pi$$ or what??!!

Just quickly worked out that a 5 digit plate *1*** would be about 280mm wide and 101mm tall and be perfectly legal.

Nothing like a small legal plate.

Have the perspex cut to size first then have the plate made. or get someone else to make them at set size.

Maybe if you had to put up with what they do every working hour of every working day you might find yourself a bit like them! Not defending the ones u dealt with but understanding it.

A crime is still a crime for those others of you who disagree with them pulling you for plates, regardless of how small, just unfortunate that some of the really anti-social ones do not get dealt with in the same manner.
