I can see myself on the other side of the equation, it's all too easy to make a simple error.

Totally agree with you mate, the sue culture that has gripped this country and to an extent all countries is too inbred and should be avoided as and when possible. The ones who sanction this kind of culture are those who prey upon our 'legal rights' and only your conscience can stop it spreading so well done you

Years ago I had an experience where my scoob was nicked from me in broad daylight. Luckiliy the tracker allowed the cops to track him within minutes and within the hour they had him bang to rights in unmarked police cars. In the attempt to get the little ****** out of my car the plain clothes detective had to smash my drivers window and pull the guy out. In doing so the copper dented my drivers door with his handcuffs.

When I got the car back that afternoon (driven personally by the detective himself who was a major petrolhead ) he apologised for the smashed window and dented door. I said I couldnt care less and thanked him for his swift action in getting my car back.

A month later I got, amongst all the paperwork from the CPS about conselling and other crap, a form stating that I, the owner of the vehicle, could claim against the police for damage to my car

Why the **** would I do that

Anyway glad you are on the mend
