The OS itself doesn't see either HD, it just sees one HD attached to the RAID controller. What exactly the size of the HD is depends on the number of HDs you have connected to the RAID controller, the size of the HDs (usually all the same size, or at least for each array you create) and the RAID level you're using.

Not sure I've ever met an IT "Professional" . All my mates and colleagues are decidely unprofessional.

CCNA qualified working for a comms company configuring customer vpn's on our mpls network. Hoping to start CCNP soon if my boss will pay for it. I also answer any questions and help with faults in the bigger team at work.

You might laugh but the number of times a reboot fixes something that stumps even the most experienced of engineers is frightening. Of course your usually reluctant to reboot a Cisco 7503 with 100+ paying customers hanging of it on the off chance it may work.

The funniest thing I ever saw was a colleague who found a router thats uptime was over 2 years - a quick reload sorted that out sharpish.
