The problem is this; in winter its freezing cold, everywhere looks nice but unless you enjoy walking around in thermals,a balaclava and wellies its not much cop.
The water may look nice in Mattees pics, but I wouldn't swim, sail or dive in it for three quarters of the year because I don't find bitter coldness a pleasure.
In summer, when one could enjoy outdoor pursuits, all these beautiful places are packed with hoardes of holiday makers so its hardly relaxing.
so, though I agree that this is a beautiful country I would never spend my much deserved holidays here

CPD, I'm not saying there aren't some beautiful parts of this great country, and thats before you even take into account the history, art to see.

As it happens I am one of those outdoors types, and since MrsD's spawn are all growed up now, we can go outside the school holiday period

September is usually the best time to visit our coastline I find, that way the sea has a had a full summer to get from bl00dy freezing to merely cold
The reality is stinking freezing wetsuits and a very shrunken "frozen prawn"
A photographer did catch me on Sunday though:
360 Photography cornwall surfing photos for surfers of all abilities
