It does seem to be fairly strange to object strongly to an insult about a disabled person but in another thread make jokes about someone losing a child.
The clincher will be if there is a Cat related thread and you say something Negative about Kitties.....

i agree with you.... its all about place and timing. If you walked into work and people where laughing about the SMS jokes about JT death would you voice your opinion or worry you might just look a fool? does not mean any of us would wish a child dead (well not unless they stole a car and hit a chip shop !!) i dont see how a thread can have a exclusive "tone"

I would voice my opinion and wouldn't for one minute think about looking like a fool. In my line of work, the death of a child is not something that any of my colleagues or I would joke about. We've all seen the effects of it on the families first hand and they all know about my husbands loss.

I would voice my opinion and wouldn't for one minute think about looking like a fool. In my line of work, the death of a child is not something that any of my colleagues or I would joke about. We've all seen the effects of it on the families first hand and they all know about my husbands loss.
