My car is a 93 jap import and i have a BIMTA (British Independant Motor Trade Association) certificate of authenticity, that states the date of first registration in Japan. I would try contacting BIMTA and seeing if they have any records for your car and if they would provide a certificate. The phone number on the back of the certificate is 01892 515425.
