Finished on the 12th dec and off until 5th Jan, well that was until I got a 24Hr duty on New Years Eve but aside from that im off lol.

Well, Les, BNFL have sold their 1/3rd share to Jacobs - a Californian Company.
LockheedMartin own 1/3rd and SERCO 1/3rd.
So, the Americans own 2/3rds of the Management Company - the UK government owns all the assets, however.

The only bit I miss about being employed, instead of self employed, is the holidays at Christmas. Most of my customers will be working over christmas, well the ones who want to make any money will be, which means i'll be working.

Exactly the same as you pete. Finish 12 noon xmas eve, go back 5th of jan. 11 days of nothing!
Unfortunatly, the wife only gets xmas day, boxing day and new years day off.

Thanks for the explanation. Does not seem very satisfactory to me. The US will know everything we might want to make or might even be able to veto it. We will have no independence over our own nuclear weapons by the look of it.
Flash must have needed the cash in a hurry-as when he flogged off the country's gold.
At least it may save a few jobs.

Nope, working until Christmas Eve though hopefully we'll be bunking off at midday, back in on Friday 2nd though I fear not much will be done that day
Would have worked between Christmas and New Year but they close our offices.
