  • Because the sub frame was remove we had to support the engine, the best thing to use would of been an engine hoist but I did'nt have one. So I had to use the next best thing a fork truck.

It looks like it's going to be fitting on friday afternoon. Me and my mate doing it. Should be fun.
Cars looking good fella,

reagards the front droplinks i think you will have to take them off once fitted to car as you will find they sit at a very severe angle, there was a post on here from ages ago where a fellla thought he had bent his just turns out he had alloy wishbones, also i wouldnt use the whitline ones as they bang like hell on a day to day basis and also rust very quickly, i even managed to snap one of mine,

this is what i went back to:

IMPREZA PARTS 2.0I TURBO GC8/GF8 EJ20G EJ205 93 TO 2000 IMPORT Front Droplinks - 90-100mm Balljoint Type - Impreza IMPREZA 2.0i Turbo GC8/GF8 EJ20G EJ205 93 TO 2000 Import :: £57.74 :: Subaru Impreza Turbo Parts, Tuning, Spares & Accessories :: 2.0i

tried and tested

Hope this is of some help.

I understand this post is waaaaay behind the power curve, haven't been over to this side of the online pond in a while... Anyway the rust removal with the Malt Vinegar looks awesome, but I wanted to suggest Coca-Cola... A friend of mine back in school, her Step-Dad used to go to the local swap meet and buy old nasty rusted tools and soak them for a few days in tubs of Coca-Cola and it would just suck the rust right off just about anything he threw in the vat...

As for the car, that looks amazing, I would agree the multi-tone color scheme isn't my taste/style but thats the whole point isn't it, we each do our own and appreciate everything we see, build off it, modify it etc... I have to admit also that the seams between the metal and the CF are gorgeous, I still don't understand the bonding process between materials like that, any chance you have a sec to share even a light explanation?
