a bit cheaper to repair then.
If you are going to a six speed it would be interesting to find out how you find it

Built lots of PPG boxes, the rest of the gearset in those pictures is a standard subaru box, and as has someone has spotted 2nd gear is stripped too.

But how can you tell is what I'm getting at? What looks different to any other cog from a gearbox? Is it that they're not straight cut, thiner teath etc?
Would be hand to know if ever I find myself looking to rebuild a box

when I picked the car up stew that built the box wasn't there.. I just took pictures of the bits left over on his trolley in a rush as it was earlier than I normally get up and was on my way to goodwood
ppg gearset all back in the car etc.. and survived Goodwood circuit yesterday.
the stripped second is from the donor box as Stew had to change the shaft over as woodruff key had messed up shaft.

Great track eh ? Would love to do it with some decent power - haven't been on there for about 20 years. I expect it would be worth going just for the tunnel on the way in alone
btw - Loving the wannabee screen sticker

Excellent result Simon, is that still on the V? Any methanol used, as it is making me consider selling my rotated setup and bolt a V on

Nope 1.9bar dropping to 1.7bar.
No shafts breaking stopping play.
