so yesterday morning I got up at 4am to sort the last few bits and pieces.. well not all of them but the essentials and a couple of nice to do ones..
Replaced the last piece of original fuel hose with braided in the engine bay, altered pipe work for brake servo as I wasn't happy with brake feel..
Packed the car and..
Swapped the battle scared bumper back to the original.. I actually quite like it but might go to a v5/6 again in the future.. just once I have done some miles without scooping up wildlife!
Car has now done 550miles and I have started to open it up a little.. will do an oil change and check over tomorrow.
I am really enjoying the Solaris ecu.. fantastic bit of kit.
Oh and I picked up the new turbo from Mark @ Lateral Performance too

I shall have to do a comprehensive comparison once I have mapped it on boost..
to be honest I plugged it in, in a layby on my way to Elvington and guessed at a map and started the car and stopped twice to make alterations and have then done some 300miles on it without needing to touch it which is fantastic from my point of view.. it can be a bit like a busman's holiday mapping your own car when you do it everyday.
This is the third Solaris I have mapped.. and it is very very good..
The SimTek is a big step forward and then Solaris is another big step further..
I guess the best comparison would be to compare them to supercars.. the simtek is the Porsche.. it does everything it should and needs to but if you could afford one you would buy the Ferrari

Car has now done 950miles and when I get time over the weekend I will switch oil and plugs and I have a mate standing buy with life insurance to do the driving.. or if time is against me then it will wait until I am near a dyno in the week.

changed the oil to fully synthetic last night as had completed 950miles running in..
throughout running in I was very tempted to abandon and just map it up but taking it easy for a bit has allowed any minor niggle to be found and sorted, although I could run a workshop and do mechanical work if I wanted I prefer to just dance on the laptop on customers cars so I don't do mechanical work everyday so not upto speed with what I have just completed to be confident everything was 100%.. but I needant have worried.. was surprized with not one boost hose coming off or issue tonight.. I have now mapped it to 1.6bar and it goes exactly how I wanted it to.
Still on the MD321T at the moment I am curious to see the difference between the T and the V. I have only road mapped it so no actualy figures but I would guess around 420bhp and 400lb with a little more to come (about 30bhp lol).
need a plug change as I haven't had time to get some racing 8s for it.
Torque to power relationship is exactly what I was after.. the 2.5 was great for a lazy drive and 455lb torque was fun but when you really want to push on and play the power dissapearing at higher rpm was not to my liking.. the new 2.35 just keeps on going and revs so willingly.. that when trying to take it a little easy I was still buzzing 7k without really realising.. love it.
very impressed with and enjoying using the solaris ecu.. more features than I have had time to fully play with so far and I will be adding extra things to it (egt, wideband etc ) and playing some more..

Dunx,
I got a Solaris fitted fairly recently, and whilst I'm loving the LC and ALS it seems like it should be a very good investment for the future... whatever I decide to do in the way of mods.
2.x conversion, md321v here we come! (He says as he checks his bank balance)

intention was to go on the rollers on the old turbo today.. but the turbo decided otherwise and the bearing failed on the way to the rollers 47k miles and several track days and dyno sessions so it did well really..
so it went from a "dunno when I will get around to changing the turbo as I rather like this" to a "off it comes" etc..
so new turbo
hoses have gone black now too btw
