I did go out in the end to pick my friend up. It obviously wasnt like a 'proper' 4x4, but got to say it was a lot better than my old bmw! Was quite fun as well on some corners.

The Type R (No ABS) is great in the snow. We have had it quite thick and i have had no problems at all.
