At last, the water pump has come!!
Weather permitting, I'll be fitting it Saturday!! The cams seem to turn ok so with a bit of luck, theres no engine damage!!
All going well, it's going in for a MOT and will be up for sale

Changed the water pump today, put the engine back together and it started on the button!!!
Took it for a good run and everything is fine, maybe the car isn't as cursed as it's reputation leads to believe!!

lol, just spent £101 to tax it today and had a shock at the petrol station, 1 litre of super unleaded - 95.9p
last time I filled the scoob up, it was around £1.40!!!!!
With the economy as it is, I won't get a decent price for the scoob at the mo. STI-CKI and Wilf let the red scoob go for peanuts in the end
I still want a Mk2 Escort, but not sure what to do at the mo, put it up for sale and hope for the best or keep it until the market picks up.
Either way, the car needs a few jobs doing on it first, ie bonnet, arches rub the tyres, a little tidy up and a good interior valet. With that in mind, the scoob is staying for a couple of months regardless

Yep, the car is definately funking jinxed, brought it into work today, checked the coolant level and found the small return pipe from the top of the rad has snapped off. Just blocked it off as well as the pipe to the expansion tank, took it for a spin and looks like it will hold till I get home!
Problems so far:
Sheared bolts on engine block (not done by myself) - Repaired
Engine rattling like an old Fiesta - Repaired
Turbo inlet pipe split - Replaced
Water pump pulley sheared off - Replaced
Radiator pipe now sheared off - bodged temporarily
Ho hum!!
I treated the car to some Meguiars Carnuba treatment along with Meguiars paint cleaner/ swirl remover and it looks superb, the paintwork now has a wet look and looks superb!
