Real. But having seen the rep above, I'm glad I didn't pay full whack for mine! I gather the reps aren't waterproof to 300m though. But at less that 10% of the real, what do you expect?

I will point out that my bracelet has broken twice since I've had it though (£5 pin!) so I'm not even sure the real kit is made superbly!

Bit of research I've found

Tag Heuer AquaRacer Replica Watch - WatchesWell.com
(No association with that company)

That's close but no good. The subdial numbers are all wrong, and the Tag logo looks jaunty! So it seems not all reps are created equal.

Yep- with my favourite replacement strap. Not a huge fan of the perforated strap that came with it..

The subdials are completely different on that one! Easy spot TBH.

I'm still astounded by the quality of the replica on your original pic though. . .

How about this one is a little pricey for a replica/fake but looks good to my untrained eye

Thats obviously from the same manufacturer as the Blue one I posted earlier. Only obvious difference between that and a genuine is the backplate. On a real one the letters AREN'T black, just engraved.

You say expensive. But £189 compared to a real one at £1750 RRP. All face markings are correct. There's something to be said for these (decent looking)reps I think, If you bash it on something and muller it, its got to be better than mashing a genuine expensive version

I got my replica Breitling in Turkey for £50, the shop have every conceivable make and model, Tag Carrera's with functioning crono's etc for pretty much what i payed for mine. He had some Swiss movement ones locked away in a case which were £100 for the most expensive, so to me £189 is expensive, but like you say its still a snip compared to the real thing

You are confusing your own opinion with fact. What you mean is that you havent seen a watch that you like, which is very different.

IMO the only person being fooled is yourself, as you know its a copy and not the real thing.

Thing is, your watch is not a replica of any real Breitling model, so it's obviously fake and would explain why it was £50.

£189 for a near-perfect replica of an actual watch isn't that expensive. The guy selling them must buy them from somewhere though.

TBH I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing a replica, I'd rather put the £189 towards a second-hand Tag 2000 (Available for £300-400 on Ebay from a reputable trader like LLoyds Tags) or maybe lower my sights to an Armani Meccanico (Again, avail for £200 or so on Ebay) but it makes you wonder how much it costs Tag to make the "real" ones?

I'm now starting to understand a bit more about the fake and replica business. I chose my particular watch on the fact that I liked the look of it with the exposed workings. I do have a real Tag F1 which I got got my 21st and probably would buy another when funds allowed.
