I would not go mad noise wise, I run a proper 3" system from the turbo with no trim or carpets I have to use ear plugs if travelling more than 30 mins or I can't hear when I get home.

It's only a weekend car so I'm not bothered but a daily driver needs to be user friendly so I would not go mad noise wise if I was you.

I have their OEM-style 4" rolled-in tailpipe version (looks like a 22B's). They sound really good though don't they scooby350bhp?.... Probably because the 'silencer' is no bigger than the tailpipe

What's up with you muppets

I opted for a magnex (with centre box) on my wagon and it's still way too loud for me... then again the wagon is a lot louder from the driving point of view compared to the saloon. My sti RA has a 3 1/2" system and it's quieter to drive than my wagon.

I used to have the 3 1/2" system on my wagon and it would actually hurt your ears on the motorway!

So there you have it, if you want loud then get a wagon!

If you think you're blitz/hks/rdiley scott/carlos fandango isn't loud..... it fookin is from point of view of the man/woman on the street

I had this and it was very very very loud, got it from exhaust uk. they do a ready made system for scoobs 3"straight through no silencers, only the back box which is 5 1/2" mandrel bend very nice, i think it cost about £320 cat back system

Another RCM Team Ice user myself. I have a sports cat but still does the jobbie for me.

I couldn't go full decat on the system myself as it would bound to give me an ASBO.

Forgot to mention I have the Cobra system, so have its 3" centre section as well. Also, when I put on the 3" decat, the sound magnified somewhat lol. I love it when Zen take it for a test drive after any work done , and hear it # ...krobba... krobba... # off up the ind. est., lol...

I have an 05 Sti Type UK. Does anyone know if a Prodrive exhaust system will sound much different compared to a standard Sti system. I just want an exhaust to make the burble sound a little better than it does on the standard system

Is that 3.5" system the APS?

I'm planning on fitting one of these next year but have concerns that it would be too loud.

Unlike most, I want a nice quiet ride, but with minimum restriction.

this was my plan as i've done it before with an old Gsi. universal fitting on the back box, cut into the existing back pipe, and jobs a gooden! i'm going to cut the maximum length possible on the 'team ice' pipe and weld to the existing oval joint and then that way i can change at any time when the gaffers catch up with me. there really is no need to buy the extras from roger clark as most people already have some kind of 3" decat system any way. just make sure you know a decent welder and you're looking at about 20-40 notes. by the way, 'team ice' is out of stock and awaiting delivery at the moment. i placed my order with them and received and e-mail notifying me they are out of stock and will e-mail as soon as its ready to be dispatched. also, the prices aren't inclusive of VAT and works out at £160 all in.
