sorry to drag up an old thread but does anyone know what software is required to enable this feature as mine is disabled even when i turn the ignition on,press the trip button and turn the rev button so it says 'on' where the outside temp normally is

No the rev shift works fine i mean the defi style sweep that you get when you turn the ignition on

it's actually doing a check of the dials and the circuits to make sure all is ok

I have fitted an 06 sti cluster in my 03 wrx and I must agree is superb, had to do a few wiring changes in the cluster to get the abs light to work correctly as on 05 onwards the abs is completely different and also had to trim one of the plugs to get it to fit, but well worth it. Just got myself an eeprom programmer to do the mileage then all will be spot on, really like the shift light as well.
