Yorkie I have a Tracker retrieve fitted and approved by DL Jan02.
As you mentioned it's listed on their website as an approved device, so that's what I had fitted. Saw comments on here before about DL not accepting it but it was too late. I was a bit concerned but sent details and certificate stating that this device was chosen from their recomended devices on the web. Expected a bit of a battle about it but they accepted it without any problems.

However, if I was to do it again I'd fit the next level up, only because I can see I might have problems on renewal in a years time. But I'll fight it if I can as it was fitted upon their recomemdation.

Mad's NOT talking out his ar$e this is just typical of Direct line. Differing feedback depending on who you speak to, it was the same about a year ago whith regards to whether a tracker was required, some said YES some said NO, now they all say YES. So I can see the same following for the trackers.

Anyway back to Morettes and UK300 conversions, don't do it stay bugeyed and proud ===

Thumbs up

Thanks Boultsy, your'e right, Direct line now accept the Tracker retrieve, as do Tesco insurance who have given me the best quote so far.

I must confess those bugeyes have grown on me. I am sticking to them after seeing another WRX with UK300 lights. I don't think they will look good on a silver car IMHO. Bugeyes it is for me A lot of car manufacturers are fitting large lights nowadays anyway so the WRX doesn't look so awkward anymore.

God, this insurance is a mine field.

I only did my insurance a month before you Boultsy, Dec 01, spoke to their security advisor rather than the telesales woman and they said they wouldn't accept retrieve. Oh, well never mind, what's done is done.

In ten years time our cars will have to be fitted with a drivers ejector seat, nerve gas valve under the dash and automatic deflating tyres all operated by satellite tracking nuclear power. (Sorry, just slotted my cynical head on), catching and LOCKING UP thieving scum must surely be THE answer.
