Si2000 has a nice rotated setup for a classic Daz. Or are you going to get Gaz to make it?

Fortunately I've got a mate that has a stainless steel exhaust making business. He's going to make something for me.

Failing that I'll just get the RCM kit but it's hellishly pricey and to be honest if my mate can make me one I save an awful lot of cash that can be spent elsewhere on the car.

If you have the turbo, gate and flanges it should be reasonably straight forward to make on the car mate.
You may need to consider new rails in order to get good fitment of the inlet pipe now though chap?
The RCM setup takes the gate between the steering UJ and inner wing. My one takes it between the steering UJ and gearbox, same as the downpipe.

I think you'll have more room this way too Daz.

Matt, I have the Tial 44mm Wastegate so that will need the Vband setup.

I've got all the flanges bar the 4 bolt 3inch turbo exhaust flange but that will be easy enough to make.

Frayz, if I do end up having the pipework made it'll fit the existing rails.

i was speaking to richard last week mate about turbos and he is using v bands on the actual turbo the up pipe and down pipe,
he said the housings spool up alot earlier than the normal garrett version and you will not have to worry about gaskets blowing think there abit dearer but seem worth the extra can come with billet internals as well if required

Mine spooled fairly quickly as it was, 2bar by 4000rpm on dyno (slightly earlier on the road) which I'm told is pretty good for a Billet 35R

I've decided to make the car a bit more civilised for the time being. Full Interior back in, it looks loads better and is far more comfortable.

I've also had some Brake Pads turn up thanks to Ian Godney from Godspeed.

Some EBC Orange Stuff for my new K Sports.

Massive effort on it this week.

Had a rather costly trip to RCM, I purchased a twisted turbo kit, track attack catch can and an oil cooler kit.

I've also purchased a new bumper, fog light covers and new grill as I had to butcher the last ones for the front mount turbo.

My final purchases were a New Invidia Exhaust system from Gus, cheers mate and just to enable me to get some miles on it over the winter and to see if i like the ratios better I've bought a five speed box. If I prefer the ratios to the six speed then I'll take a punt on a proper built 5 speed box.

Spent the last week getting the box on the car and getting the engine ready to go in.

The engine is ready and will be going in the car tomorrow.

I've also painted the bumper, new fog covers and grill. Quite please considering I did them in my garden at home.

Lots to come over the next few days

Seeing as you've decided to 'delete' the fog cover securing screws, what about filling/sanding/repainting the little recesses?

It's all about the little details daz...................

If they are aftermarket covers like mine they don't have screw holes just 2 clips at the top and one at the bottom.

Looking good daz what 5 speed box are you running over the winter?

I think you could be right as, from the photos, the covers look less than flush-fitting.

Superb effort Daz, interesting decision to swap back to a 5 cogger. I know the ratios are nicer, but after all the effort to get a 6 speed on there. Seems an unusual decision.

Can't wait to see this all working again and see how the 35 billet performs on a 2.5 in stock rotated location.

All thd best mate.

The covers havent been fitted properly yet they are just fitted using the tabs at the top. They will be fitted using a bracket and a screw at the bottom.

Not really a strange decision re: five speed. Long story short I havent got a six speed and cant afford one yet. I've bought a five speed as a back so i'm going to use that just to get some miles on it over the winter.

I won't be chasing figures until the box is swapped for something stronger which will be just before the 30-130 Marham hopefully.

The engine is in just a few bits to do in the morning and I'll be in a position to turn the key.

I'll post pictures of the complted fog covers later.

I did mate you're not losing your marbels I sold it to pay some bills when I got made redundant. I'm probably going to get a Hawkeye DCCD six speed when I find one at the right money. I refuse to pay what the robbing b4stards at Grade A and such places want for them.

Bit late but subscribing to this, great to see all the work you're puttng in yourself Daz

Will be interesting to see how you get on with the orange stuff pads, I'm running Ksports front and rear on mine but with carbotech pads, as has already been said they are very good brakes.
