Technically inaccurate. I don't care how experienced at building engines David is I happen to think he's wrong about an over rev some 3000 miles before the failure being the cause said failure. As do a couple of the best tuners in the business too.

It matters not, it will be built with specific sized lifters this time rather than machining lifters to suit.

LOL Simon, it was taken with my iphone, which we all know are sh*te on the picture quality front. I also took the picture in a hurry as it was before I approached the engineering company about them being to blame for the failure. The poster was on their wall so it was done rather quickly

LMFAO Daz, fantastic thanks. I have sold 4 units. I am working on some nice Subaru baffled catch cans, in crinkle red and black.

Oooh now I could be interested in one of them

Three inlets, a drain back to sump (-10) and a breathe to atmosphere outlet I hope?

Joking aside have you done any testing on the pump?

I'm utterly certain it wont completely cure surge. I'm honestly not being argumentative here either and its a genuine concern based on experience with the Hyperflow / spec C offering.

Not yet, There is a difference with these pumps, and the other pumps. Every one uses bosch 044. The GSR pump is a bosch 040. I am testing up at Knockhill soon. And yes the catch can has 3 inlets 0ne -10 drain baffled and vented. I have seen the RCM kit, and this one is sweet. Watch this space.

The pump isn't the issue its the pickup design.

The reason why a swirl pot works is that you have 1.5 litres of fuel in the pot in case the fuel in the tank sloshes away from the pick up of your lift pump. The inline pump can then carry on pumping fuel from the pot to the engine. By the time it could empty the pot you'd be well and trully passed a surge causing bend and the pot would have started filling again.

The Spec C one just doesnt offer that level of protection. The only way you're going to achieve that with an intank pump is to ensure that fuel is kept around the pick up at all times. To do that you have to re design the tank or ensure some sort of resevoir round the pump pick up which you won't be able to fit into the tank through the current pump access holes.

I am meeting up with them next week, as they have a photo shoot with a few magazines, and i will speak to them about it. I do know that they will not compete with a swirl pot, all i want is the next best thing. I want to be able to use my boot. Anyway best of luck Daz, with your build.

It means you should stop thinking that I'm sat here getting wound up. You couldn't be further from the truth if you thought that

Right then, back on topic, my project

I thought I'd have a go at this tonight.

It's the first time I've ever attempted it.

This is after a coupe of hours a die grinder. It needs a light tidy up with a flapper wheel but I'd like opinions please. How am I getting on? If it's sh*t tell me

Before:

After
