I've had the car corner weighed at RCM today.
This was the result without any adjustment whatsoever, so basically how I've thrown it together.

Car was measured without rear seats or rear quarter trims and without the carpet. Nothing else removed. It also had half a tank of fuel at the time.

1st Picture is car only 2nd picture is car plus me. (yes I know i need to lose some weight before you start the fat bastid jibes).

Certainly a good start considering i've got the six speed on it too

Poor ol' Daz

17+ stone sounds like a fat bastad, but be fair fellas Daz is a bit of a lump anyway.

My car was 1240kg (without me) when corner weighted ... standard car AFAIK.

TX.

I've got the six speed box though and there was half a tank of fuel in it.

The overall weight i'm not too fussed about as there's loads to come off should I want it to. What I am pleased about and it came as a total surprise was how well balanced it was from left to right.

lump is a Southern term for a big guy not a fat guy. Like Madhammer is a lump.

Now then, about your bathroom antics a few weeks ago

I don't understand getting the car corner weighted without the driver in it. Is there any point?

Is this a rhetorical question?

I thought that it was a fair question Surely you can only see the true weight distribution when the driver's in the car?

Only asking to see if there is something I don't understand, not to be critical or negative.
OK, I guess I probably misread TX's point. He probably did not actually mean that the car was corner weighted without him in it.
Never mind

Sorry, i looked at it the other way in that why wouldnt you weigh a car without driver
I missed the corner weighted bit
But weighing without driver obviously gives you a figure for the car.
However some people weigh cars as part of its modification process so I dont see what the problem is. Two sets of figures with and without driver is always good to have. I would agree that corner weightng is more effective with the driver in the car but lets face it for 99% of us its completely irrelivant.

Well I've got a busy few days ahead. I've got a photo shoot on Friday for a feature in Japanese Performance. The snag is my P1 splitter decided to jump off the vehicle on the M1 the other day so I've got a couple of days to source one, paint it and fit it. I also need to sort the grill out as that's always been a mess and also cover the fog light apetures. Manic 72 hours to get the car ready in time for Friday.

Watch this space...

Well I've had my photoshoot for Japanese Performance today.
Some awesome pictures were taken. Hopefully I'll be given a few.

Here's a couple of quick ones that I have taken.

Front End tidied up, new splitter and new fog light covers.

Reflection shot.

I can wait for the proper pictures as they really are awesome

Car looks great Daz...plate looks MASSIVE though, have you considered a sticker type on the bonnet...would disappear and look way more subtle as you have a white car

The motor looks a beast mate !.

Always a difficult decision where to position the plate. We can't all have the small plates. I tried and was stopped by police the same day.

Well Daz I must say that the car is looking rather GOOD and it's nice to see all your hard work come to fruition. In hind sight are there any area's that you would now approach in a different manner?
Regards the number plate I might have lost it for the photo shoot.
Love the caution warming by the exhaust.
Nice work Daz and perhaps we'll get to meet again.

Not had one tug in the time I've run mine...I understand your caution as yours is a slightly less subtle beast than my estate
