Thought I'd give the tatty rad and intercooler a tidy up.

First off I painted the mounting bracket for them both, then The rad got a dusting of matt black.

Then the same treatment for the intercooler core.

I bought a P1 splitter a while back which I got round to painting and fitting today.

Not too pleased with the quality of fit but I guess that's what happens when you buy non genuine copies.

It will do until such time as I replace the whole bumper but I am reasonably pleased with how it's turned out though.

Don't worry, all in had. The roll cage feet have been welded in today so I'll be bolting it all in proper tomorrow.

I just decided to wash the car after it came back and was offloaded off the trailer

That should allow me to get to the stage where it's just the engine side of things holding me up then. So there should be a fair amount of progress over the weekend

Cheers Andy, considering what you were throwing around the track last year that's a massive compliment.

As for progress Clive, I may not be building it as quickly as some of the projects have progressed on here but it will be built right and built without compromise it will just take me a little longer that's all. It is however getting there that's for sure

Nice work Daz, car does look very nice indeed

Engine wise, whats the next "hold up"?

Supertech valves, did you go for inconell exhausts or stainless all round?

Next hold up is Cams. I want the Cosworth S2 AVCS cams but just can't afford them at the mo.

With regards to the Supertech valves they are the stainless ones but have all been niterided.

I'm going to get all the interior sorted first then I'll look at the heads as I have everything for those except the cams. I was toying with the idea of using the standard cams for the time being just to get some miles on the car and do before and after dynos to see just how much of a difference they make

Im going to leave my AVCS heads stock. Theyre JDM anyway so designed for 8Krpm.

On the 30R i think these will be enough, i did look at using the stainless supertechs, but as im not running cams and uprated springs etc i see little need for them if the EGTs are kept under control.

Hoping to make near the magic 500/500 with them as they are.

I've got the 2006 WRX heads so I think they may choke things up a bit if i don't use some decent cams.
