With the help of a friend I managed to get the radiator and the FMIC securely amounted today.

This involved making a frame for it all to sit on and then that had to be secured to the body work. The whole thing can be removed should the need arise.

Going to make some flat bar brackets for the top of the IC and these will be more securely fastened. The whole lot will be tidied up and painted over the weekend.

Been to get some proper head studs for the build today.

Some RCMS 14mm WRC Headstuds.
Here they are note the picture where they are next to the ARP offering. The RCM ones are just so much more bigger

Obviously the arp headstud is 11mm? as the thread pattern looks far smaller.

What's to worry about? They can't go anywhere and if they do they aern't going to compromise the gasket integrity. It's a win win situation i reckon so double :P :P

Not quite a 22b for £500 but I picked up my best ever car related bargain today. I think this one was even better than my 330mm Stoptech for £200 find.

Today I went and collected a complete (and by complete I mean EVERYTHING) JDM 7 STI engine and six speed box.

The engine and box had literally been dropped out of the bottom of the car and that how it was put in the van.

Came complete with AC compressor, alternator, turbo (VF35) starter, clutch, headers, up pipe, down pipe and 550cc pink injectors even the STI Top mount intercooler and OE Dump valve was included

I got the whole lot for £1550 on ebay. I was gobsmacked when I got the email confirming I'd won the auction.

Here Are some pics,

Also could someone help me out? Anyone got the missing part of the linkage going spare? ( see last pic)

Good find Daz, are you likely to sell the heads from that motor?

Undecided yet Frayz,

I have two sets of complete AVCS heads now. The other is a pair of 2.5 WRX heads as far as I can see the only difference is the cams as both have one piece solid shimless buckets.

Either way I will have one set up for sale soon.

Well I managed to split the engine and gearbox today.

I also decided to get the box looking a bit better before I fit it to the car.

This is how it started the day.

After a clean with a degreasing gun and a scrubbing brush

After a quick blast of hammerite smooth

Nothing major to add just more making things look a bit more tidy.

The six speed mounting frame was a bit tatty so it got stripped cleaned and painted.
It will all be put back together and hopefully at some point over the weekend will get put on the car.
