DIY 550bhp 2.5 STI V3 Type R

Would just like to say that some numpty has sent an email to someone I'm doing a build for and has not only called into question my honesty and integrity but has also said my workmanship is poor and untidy.
I was going to say nothing about this but I wanted this spineless cretin to know exactly what I think.
Firstly the accusations about dishonesty, carry on with that crap and I'll be suing for slander! Secondly the workmanship thing. I've taken pictures every step of the way not just when things look nice, pretty and tidy. Judge me by what it looks like when it's finished not when I'm halfway through cutting panels and using knackered old dummy engines to work out positioning of pipework, intercooler rad etc.
Poor untidy workmanship? Kiss my ****...
The person I'm doing the build for has more integrity than the sender of the email and wont divulge who sent it, just the content. Feel free to make yourself known you spineless jealous little weasle
Mind you, only a handful of people have been told about the build I'm sure I'll narrow it down soon enough

Daz> that is awful, your work looks tip top to me & there are plenty of people on here that would like to have your amount of Subaru nouse & the ***** to attempt some of the things you are with this stunning Type R. As you say, spineless.

Hey you guys, what Daz is referring to was a wind up by me
That got him hook line & sinker
Bless him. I've just found out he was up all night..............sorry matey.
Daz & I are always winding each other up, photoshopping each other etc.
Just an extension of our fun .........that's all
I chose Roger Clark Motorsport for my P1 and I chose you to basically build the engine and put P2 together. Enough said.

lol....... I did intend to carry it on Mneame but after I realised how it got to Daz it would have been unfair.
This is what I emailed Daz (bearing in mind I just changed the font & colour) and did not copy & paste the make believe email.

Hi mate.
Received this today?. Was in junk mail.
Clive
Gongrats on the P1... awesome car.
I have heard that RCM are not building P2? was a slight shock to say the least. I would be very careful using Daz Davies!! He is unaware that I have been monitoring his DIY 550 thread and it suggests very untidy workmanship, so beware and don’t expect it to look like your P1, because it wont.
Also, watch the finance side of things. DONT supply him money as I know he ripped of some guy in Australia, so I have heard from several of guys.
I am sorry if I have offended your choice but I feel someone needed to advise you.
The best of luck with it.
Regards
Mike
I have not replied yet, and don’t worry about it matey!

Cat: I was thinking the same I can just see him now at his pc.
Thrusting his chair back with great force whilst standing there with his top teeth firmly wedged into his bottom lip.
Walking around the room in big strides with arms behind back and with head hanging forward muttering "whos this spineless ****" .
bless

Talking about wind ups
Did you know that at TOTB, you pumped up yr airbed, then walked off for some reason, someone let it down again, so when you returned, you see it was down and said F**k it, it must be punctured, so you slept on the hard floor.
Dont throw it mate - theres nothing wrong with it.

LOL common myth that one Sy
I remember the incident well. I wasn't pumping air in I was sucking it out. It took me a while to realise it wasnt going up lol.
Swapped the pipes over on the pump and hey presto it started inflating. I had a good couple of hours kip on it until Steve (Eureka) the source of this urban Myth started snoring in the tent next to me lol.

Hi Daz, now that action is starting to evolve with "Project 2" I'm interested to know where your car will fit into the scheme of things. Are you running work along side Project 2 or is P2 taking center stage.
Also are you just taking on the engine build fitting aspect or the major proportion of the works.
PS Told you that your skills would soon find some gamefull employment
As Iceman said "it all looks very cool."
PPS the amount of time you and Clive spend on the phone you'd be better off married

The plan is to work on P2 Exclusively until it's finished.
I'm sure there will be the inevitable delay so I can get some small jobs done on mine.
If all goes well though we're onlt talking a couple of months of work hopefully, most of it running parallel.
The body shop involved get the car first. During this time the engine build will commence at this end.
Then it will be a matter of putting everything on the car.
I'll be doing all the mechanical work then it will be trailered for mapping.
