Project P1 600bhp +
I plan to test the flat shift on 23rd August as the next round of Scooby Sprint is @ Santapod and there is a RWYB the same day. I will pop in a couple of 10's that day after I have done my 5 sprints
Dont chase the 10 and it will come quicker imo. You are putting too much pressure on yourself now.
I believe APi do some uprated shafts, which utilise your existing cv's.

Paul had a look at my slips yesterday and I am definatly losing time in the mid point of the run somewhere, we think it's the spool between gear changes. He is going to look at the datalog this week and see. I am pretty sure my changes are quick enough now as I have cetainly had the practice. I have now run very low 11's on 20+ runs on 2 different ECU's consistantly so I'm sure it's the car and not me
Someone else mentioned Davids shafts, I will drop him a line about costs.

You launching with DCCD open or fully locked?
Ask Paul if he can configure the Solaris to control the DCCD on launch
Its frustrating chasing a time, and cost me a lot of money in the end, and i ended up .04 short of the 10 in my car when it was full weight.
The data logs should be interesting, because the solaris will at least show you how long your gear changes are physically taking you to do, not sure if your old ecu would, and how long the car is off boost. They should lead you in the right direction.
Back when i was running my wagon on the strip, i was consistently taking .2 or marginally less to change gear, and marginally more for boost to come back on song when not clutchless shifting!
given the weight of your car, and the power it has, it should be walking in the 10's by now, but i appreciate you are relatively new to the game

Not being funny but due to years in the gym Clive is a big guy in the flesh. He would probably be equal to someone like MartP1 & a passenger!.
Urs Erbacher & Clive are about the same size as I have stood beside both, difference is Ers has 8000Bhp in his machine whereby Clive only has just under 600. Must make a difference surely??
Marti is running about 550 and I would be amazed if he could equal best times with a passenger of his equal size and weight which would realistically be the same as Clive?
What do you reckon Steven?

I have been launching locked and rolling it open part way down the strip (if I remember). Previously was running an Apexi so was difficult to say where time was lost; now we will see if I am shifting quick enough
Did not know Solaris can control the DCCD ! Will chat to Paul about that oneAgreed it should walk 10's, I guess it now weighs 1230-1240 since I have taken weight out. And has proven power with my terminals and top speed runs this year @ TOTB and the 30-130

So even with me driving the total weight will be circa 1350kg
Clive is roughly 35kg heavier than me then.
My car was last weighed at 1400kg without me, and **** all fuel in it. Go back to the speck it was when last at santapod, and remove 30kg for weight of 6 speed, 30kg for cage, but add back the standard interior, spare wheel, jack etc, and at worst its still 1400kg, but lets say 1350kg on the bright side.
Add me to the equation, and we get 1425kg, power was 560bhp back then, so PTWR 393 bhp/t. Clive is 560bhp still?, and 1350kg, so 415bhp/t.
Its there for the taking Clive, the solaris will reveal all

As for Solaris revealing all I am worried now that Paul will just turn round and say 'learn how to drive'

Ooooo I do hope Paul says this Clive.
Will take some weight off my shoulders
only kidding mate.

Ah - guys I think I may have stumbled on the reasons for Skull and Mads drag times, found this on wikipedia:
The boy's name Clive \c-li-ve\ is pronounced kleeve, klyve. It is of Old English origin, and its meaning is an acronym for "Cant-drive,Lame-driver,Iffi-driver,Verybad-driver-Eratic-driver".
As a Surname and place name. Robert Clive was a famous English soldier known for his exploits in India. Thackeray used it as a first name in an 1855 novel. Critic Clive Barnes; author Clive Staples (C.S.) Lewis.
Clive has 3 variant forms: Cleavon, Cleve and Clyve.
For more information, see also the related name Cliff.

Just make sure it's not through a straw this time, been there done that. I've still got the surgical snips so I dont choke if I puke lol

Oh don't bring the heavies up in your car mate it'll be even slower if you do
Collecting from Coachworks matey not RCM.
Will be dropping off the car at RCM on way up to the MLR500 on 22nd of this month.
If my car had of been finished I would have joined you on the 23rd Clive and shared some of my launching skills with you

Very rapid car last year, and its now got more grunt and less weight. Meticulously built!
Stunning if you ask me!
Worth a venture to the dark side for someone, surely.

YES SY wheres some pix of that monster. (Goes bloody well, I went in it today chaps).
I'm looking forward to getting the LC Clive !.
Was speaking to Matt about it and he said it works really well,
I was with Sy today and I said to him that I cant understand why I can launch his car like I do but struggle with mine? bearing in mind I never had his LC turned on, only NOS and ALag, and he said it was lack of NOS in the lag stage.
When I get the LC activated I will try a 5000 launch and see what happens.
My AL is on a toggle switch. If I turn that on, will the LC over ride it

on a launch ?
