You had this on a dyno yet?
When RCM move into there new premises Jolly it will be on there dyno.
I have been reading many posts saying that certain dyno's / types etc don't produce accurate results.
RCM have done everything regarding my car so I would rather Matt.Olly Dave R sort it as they know the car better than anyone else.
Shall we book it anyway ? Will need to join "Sy's old Club" The Brighton & Hove Motor Club.
I reckon Olly was right in what he told me.
He said there are VERY FEW genuine 500+ Impreza's used as road cars.
I set the EXE to 30 on all corners and running PZero's 225 / 35 ZR's at 2.0 bar (29psi) and took it out by myself around dead lanes that I know really well at 5:00am / dry roads for about an hour.
I was trying to keep it in boost as much as poss and the grip & power levels were just mad.
On most bends, in what ever gear, there was traction loss when on the floor, but constant feathering kept the traction on the limit.
It's a bit of a handful to be honest but when you think it's running at least 200bhp more than the current WRC cars you can understand why.
Those old Group B's must of been a total riot to drive
Luvvvvvllleeeeee
Onboard for a hill climb in a Delta S4 (600Bhp)

I didn't mean it in a cheeky one Martyn.
I was genuinely interested in what car it was as i have no knowledge on your own/company car.I don't even know what spec it is or whether its a classic or newage.
Sorry if you have taken offence to my question.

very nice tyres.. the only car I have tried them on in anger were on my evo6 which has superb handling and if anything the r888s made it quicker still and handled better but the tyres never let go until you were on two wheels and then in serious comitment to **** or bust..
currently running yokohama parada spec 2 on the classic and they are great cornering imho but lose grip on power application which is controllable..

Aren't r888's a bad choice of tyre for a proper road car as with most of the torential rain we keep getting, grip level in bad rain will be none exsitent?? Unless they are going on a 2nd set?? I have kept away from semi slicks for this reason and have stuck with good year. I know of a couple of people who have wrote thier cars off in heavy rain with semi slicks.
I was all set for buying a set of 888's until I saw Bob Rawles hit a puddle and end up going cross country
but at first sight they don't seem any worse than any modern sports bike tyre

I am currently on RE070 and for dry weather grip are awesome, in the rain they are fine but as per a lot of tyres they dont like standing water. May try some yoko A048R's next.

The car is an MY99 WRX running our development 2.1 stroker with all of the supporting mods, 850cc injectors, swirl pot, uprated oil pump, head bolts, tubular manifold etc etc, the full spec is in the garage section when it gets back on.
It has made 505bhp and 470+lbft on the development TT S206 turbo and ran an 11.1 1/4 mile @ 127 mph at Shakespeare running 450hp.
I have a high low switch on the SimTek and choose to drive it on the low most of the time, 420hp is plenty enough for getting the 5 miles to work, lol.

I find semi slicks / trackday style tyres better in the wet than normal road tyres, I don't know of any tyres that like standard water and I think they get blamed easily when people run out of tallent..
