Meaning new age is heavier than classic ?

I feel you would gain more "over all" by spending money on power when owning a classic opposed to a new age, unless one intends to go all the way ie Team Ice car.

Ahh, i see. Thought you were talking about a 257 as opposed to a 207 engine.

I do have training schemes but they work out hugely expensive as it takes a long time to achieve and we cannot charge for the trainee.

To meet current trading standards newly imposed regulations we also have a full training programme for "people with special needs", individuals with learning difficulties, former offenders and adults that have been refused numerous job offers due to having an unstable manner, but unfortunately Daz you live too far away mate.

Good figures Clive!.....

Watch out for SleeperSy when the new transmission is fitted though mate!

I shall need to do some more runs and improve my dismal rating

Lets all have a guess at Madhammers best time when next on drag strip.

I predict your best run at the next meet at 10.88 at 129 .

SleeperSY will be donating the prizes.

1st prize. An AK47 (7.62mm) with 500 armour piecing rounds.
2nd prize. Bulletproof glass & armour plating for an Impreza.
3rd prize. Three years subscription to BUPA.

I have resigned myself to the fact that I will never do a good time in my car. I had ago at york raceway on sunday and I was averaging 11.9secs with 125mph terminals. I did those kind of runs 3 times. The car lifts even more at the front on launch now and it does like to go sideways even more A friend has told me if I fitted an anti lift kit to my car it would solve my problems, well that was until I told him it was already fitted

not entirely true there clive
my lardy newage was 1404 on corner weights iirc at 30/130 day b4 interior came out
would be interesting to see what yours (fully trimmed classic) with mods and six speed weighs?
remember your car prob weighs more now that manufactured weight

I think the 6 speed is 60 kg more Steve.
The new engine has lightweight bits, but other things are bigger so it will probably even out regarding engine?

The P1 is 1295 kerb weight so I reckon it weighs around 1355.

The 2'5 Sti has a kerb weight of 1495 I think.

At 500Bhp the P1 worked out at 423Bhp per ton.

Quality pic Steve, what suspension do you have? Are you running DCCD?

I think I read somewhere that the 6 speed is circa 30KG heaver than the six speed

Daz I'm on stadard JDM STI suspension with anti lift and front and rear roll bars. IT was always good enough for me till my last tweak!!!! The car made FOUR bhp more but its not the same car!!!! Its now evident that I need new suspesion as when I drive normally the car doesn't feel as safe. I let steven darley drive it and even he came back with a smile on his face It was nice before but its friggin mint now

It certainly shifts Steve

The quicker you can shift gear, the less time there is for body dive and rise. Watch this from me 4 and half years ago against Paul of Zen. You should see very little dive and rise between changes.

The clip is full weight STi5, 555bhp, bridgestone S02 tyres.

Nice pic Steve. 11.9 is a good start, practice is the key as I have found out.

I've been busy tonight again, managed to finally get all the sound deadening out. Also all of stereo and speakers. I reckon that's 20-25kg gone there, 20kg on seats at least also, just got to get new boot sprayed and fitted and I reckon on nearly 60kg down from previous

???

The point I was trying to make Steve is that I believe it pays to mod a classic opposed to a newage as the benefits are greater.
