York Raceway takes me ages to get there...........

............ If i walk

If Andy Forrest can travel to the likes of Santapod, then surely you can. If you want to play the game properly, you need to visit different grounds as it were!

Think outside the box men, make a weekend of it, get there the day before, hotel/B&B, meal, social, get up next morning and race!

Knockhill is worth it though, if you get there on the Saturday, bag a passenger lap with someone, you will love it (assuming they are going quick enough )

I know what you mean P20 and you are correct. Nothing better than a social get together and a good racing weekend away with the boys !.

My in laws own a large B&B/farmhouse roughly 5 minutes from York Raceway with ample parking for cars/trailers, and there is a good indian restaurant nearby.

Steve, check this guy out. Ian is a real nice approachable fella.

He is the resident photographer at Santa Pod (among other places) and is also the guy that filmed SleeperSy & me in the super slow mo's on page 47 of this thread.

I will be needing another spare set of wheels but I will be limited due to the clearance of my front AP calipers.

My fitted OZ's have around 5 - 7mm clearance.

Need 18" x 7.5. Does anyone know of any lightweight wheels that will fit ??

I don't want to order a set then find they don't fit.

Thanks

Smalled brakes is the answer Then get some 16's. Better for drag Clive. I am about to go that way.

Smaller brakes What are you gonna do if you need to stop quick on the road ??? Personally for my power level I think the AP6 pots are a requirement

My 6 pots will fit under 16's. Just gone for smaller discs which will give me the room. IMO you only massive brakes for hard track work.

Good idea Clive and right move for drag racing, but my car has been set up for track more than drag.

You will have me on the strip mate but on the track will be

What power are you currently running Steve ?

I find the AP's really good, although they sometimes feel on the hard side.
I may do a few events then try softer pads.
