Firstly apologies for those who had to wait for me on the dual carriage bit on the way to MacDs! Blame Eureka for holding me up at the hut - he was busy gassing on his FMIC!

It was great to meet you peeps last night. What a good night (apart from my frozen toes!) .

Clive - thanks for organising it . When's the next one m8?

Fatboy - Was really good of you to extend your stay to Macds - hope the "boss" didn't give you too much of a beating when you got home?

Sy - What a scoob you got m8!

Look forward to the next meet!..

JP

PS: Who was the chap who parked next to mine at MacDs on arrival - we spoke by I did not catch your name fella?

Loved the contents of Sleeper's boot
Think that location would be fine in the summer when theres a bit more light, would be nice to have all of the road filled up with Subarus

Thanks Clive for arranging this meet even though my feet are still frozen

Fudge <- thinks Granby is correct. The location would be ideal to hold monthly meets throughout the summer & warmer months.
Plenty of room, food & drink at hand, tunnels nearby , strippers living close by and on route regarding Brinks Mat trucks .

SleeperSy.. whilst I was talking to you at Blackheath I thought you were sporting the new "Gucci Octane" aftershave.

Upon placing my head through the driver's window of your car at Macee D's
I now know different

I was only supposed to be out for 15 minutes, so I as I was leaving I mentioned to JP4 that I was off to give my other half a good listening to (she's a lawyer so I don't win many arguments...)

Steven Darley (P20SPD) is an accountant - I've got his old dccd box in my car- and is also a reasonably regular Blackheath visitor, so he sort of qualifies, doesn't he?

JP4 - I don't need to trust you; I know from painful first hand experience...

It's just like I said in my wedding speech - " She explained how a partnership worked to me at an early stage - her house, her garden / my mortgage..."

Oh she'd never mention anything as vulgar as money - her comments are pretty subtle; you only realise your legs have been cut off about 10 minutes after she says something (well, maybe brighter people would get it quicker than me...)

Sounds a bit like Foskers, the Ferrari guys at Brands Hatch, who itemise there bills by the minute. I kid you not.

Well ,that's decided that then - I won't be taking my Ferrari there after all

Mind you, 1hr and 5 minutes might be better than "1 hour and 5.... hmmm, best call that 2 hours then" approach that some garages (allegedly) take.

Talking of garages & rates, I bought my wife an Audi TT 3.2 Quattro convertable. Sun was out & she decided to down the electric roof, forgetting she had a couple of sainsburys carrier bags on the back seat.
She heard an almighty smash and the rear window (which is part of the soft top), smashed.
Phoned Audi dealership to inquire about a new one and this is what they said.

"We have only fitted one before and it took our fitter 15 hours to complete".

I then asked how much for a new soft top and hourly rate. They replied

"£ 800.00 for the soft top and £ 120.00 per hour" !!

Roger Clark Motorsport's reputation is second to none. They charge £ 45.00 per hour ??

Are they too cheap, or is Audi taking the p**s !

ridiculous, I don't care how hard the job might be. You could probably buy the same car albeit older model for the same price these days
