This looks a good crack and will be interesting to follow.

Andy Green & team have had the go ahead to build this thing ( £ 12M ) for the new Land Speed record (good ol' Brit's).

Current record is 760 something, this thing will blow the record at over 1000 mph

Hi all I am back in the UK now. Was thinking about a final outing for my car at the Pod to see if I can get myself up the Street Challenge table RWYB - Street Challenge - Tables 2009

Now I know the car with do mid 10's it would be rude not to have a go. Hopefully in the cooler weather I won't have issues with too much grip and breaking shafts.

The dates left are -

Sat 17th Oct
Sun 18th Oct
Sun 1st Nov

And that's it for 2009, so burger challenge 2 anyone ?

Hey Clive, how was the honeymoon matey?.

I will pop up the pod on one of those dates.

I am off to Cancum next Wednesday for two weeks and the P1 will be at RCM having LC enabled
Will be able to achieve some more realistic times then, although I wont be anyway near you Clive.
Looking at the times of you guys I will be really happy to achieve 11's.

Not sure about these new Hankook tyres for Snetterton track day this coming Saturday. On the street they don't seem as positive as the PP Zeros, however I always run my tyres at exactly 2.0 bar (28psi).

The fitters current pressures are 33 psi in the fronts and 31 rear so I will give them a blast at 2.0 bar and see.

Looking back on it the Michelin Pilot Sports are still the best tyres I have used although I am still itching to try 888's.

Honeymoon was great mate, Barbados was brilliant !

Why don't you run a different set of wheels and tyres for the track, then you could use slicks or cut slicks. I use Pirelli cut slicks for trackdays, they are fantastic.

Will check with my pit man for pod dates as he drives the truck to pull the trailer

Have you heard from Sy recently ? Will bung him a text about the years final outing.

Clive

Still on standard fronts and the later STI7 onwards on the rear. Will be getting some new ones made up over the winter months for next season.

Am on the look out for another set of wheel (18" OZ's) and will do just that Clive.

Was speaking with Sy yesterday. He reads this and will respond soon no doubt.
I've mentioned that I will be going up the pod soon, and that is normally a guaranteed que for some abuse from Sy

Right, I am aiming for 17th October @ the Pod (weather permitting). If it's raining on 17th I will try the 1st November.

Clive

I will be in Cancum (Mexico) and I reckon if I suggested to the Mrs that I popped back for a day at The Pod, she may well get the hump.

Back on the 28th.

Ok Clive & Steve, should be ok for a Nov run.

Clive, the funny thing is that if Hev and I were chilling on the beach and I told her I was popping back for a day to go racing, she would probably believe me...... bless her

Shaun..... Cancun

We should be ok mate, we are staying in The Moon Palace.

Did you enjoy it Shaun? the flight is going to drive me nuts (11 hrs)

I get bored stiff flying, really bored. Have filled my ipod and iphone with some decent documentaries hoping it will pass the time.

Only 11 hours? Light weight!

Fly to Australia, then you'll know the meaning of boredom

Looks like a good idea Will have a chat with 'little Paul' and see if he is up for it as can't risk going that far without trailering.

Flight is not too bad because the time difference is not much. When I went to Vegas last year, that flight and time difference nearly killed me!

Don't worry about the flight length.... I sorted that one out by getting pissed on Champagne!

The Moon Palace is very nice! If you think of venturing out in to town at night time...... take plenty of $$$$. The prices were unreal when we went!

Waking up in the morning and opening the shutters of the room, to have a view of the white beach was unbelievable. The only thing that view lacked was palm trees on the beach. The place is really nice and we loved it. Only thing that was not great was the heat.... it is the hottest place I have ever been. We were sun bathing at 7am in the morning and sweat would just **** off you within 10mins. Thank god for the swim to pool bar!

I'm sure you have seen enough of these, but here are a couple of pics of the beach from our hotel pool area.

Hope you have a great time!
