Mind you I will still be having the Launch Control activated & Air Con removed.

I looked at the car last night and for the first time I thought mmmm it's finally finished

PROJECT II

No, fella's it has not started yet but it's been in my head for several months and will commence soon, possibly very soon depending on several matters.

This is how it is at the moment.

I have been in contact with Andy Forrest and I believe I have first refusal of his current car. I am led to believe that he is selling it after his competitions finish and he said he would give me a ring.

I have been told that if I buy the car, minus the engine, I can have an engine built & been assured of, I quote, "mid 8's all day long" (even with me at the wheel)

Option 2
There is a certain Impreza in Japan I have my eye on.

Option 3
To find a classic that has basically been race prepared and use that as a starting point.

Option 4
Holdar's (Team Ice) car is up for grabs but the last time I saw it, it was up for £ 100,000. I have heard that is cheap and that's probably correct, but also a lot of money !. (I need to keep my wife ! cos I'm fookin useless at cooking) bless her.

Option 5
Soon to be having a chat with Olly and something may come from that ?

Ready to go with what ever turns up, so it wont be long before P2 starts
Personally I think you are off your rocker...... but it is your cash, so best of luck.

lol, I say the P1 is finished, well not exactly. It's off up to RCM in a few weeks to have L.Control and the Air Con removed.

Don't get me wrong Utaka the P1 will still be well active. I will be getting in some track days and various bits throughout the year.

The Gobstopper?mmmmmmm that thing must be awesome to drive.

Both cars looked really nice mate and it is weird seeing your own car in a mag.

The picture of Marti's & my car driving side by side in the building took many takes.
There were 2 guys hidden behind each car. The photographer (Chris) stuck 2 huge suckers to Marti's bonnet and attached a long boom to it. The camera was hanging upside down in front of my car on the end of the boom.

On the count of three, the 4 guys started pushing both cars whilst Chris was walking backwards remotely taking the pics.
Took about 6 times before both the cars were at the same speed.

Long day but good fun.

SF, you know what you've done to followers of this thread, don't you? You've tantilisingly led us along thinking we'll reach the crescendo of the P1 getting to 600bhp... only for them to be sold down the river. LOL

It's like getting lost in a rollocking good spy thriller from the library... only to find the 'whodunnit' last chapter has been ripped out by some other cruel punter!

Only kidding mate - I've really enjoyed said thread and am just a little bit envious of your motor... Minted P1... Minted mods... Minted 500bhp... What's not to li... er, LOVE!

Thanks for the... pun intended... ride! (That sounds gay ). LOL

I know what you mean Joz and I feel terrible about that.
It's like I mentioned a few pages back if I had known then what I know now I would have chosen another title for the thread.
The whole Jap scene was all new to me then.

We could still achieve 600 and more but it would not really be a car I could just jump in and use as "my car". Would either have big lag issues, fuel location problems or trans breakages on NOS.
Marti's P1 is now at that "the next stage" and the only time he gets behind the wheel is basically on the strip.

Sure, I totally 'get' that and full respect for keeping as a tractable 500bhp 'roadcar'.

You've defo done the 'right' thing IMHO... Hell!, as you say, you can just jump in the damn thing and unleash 500 adrenaline-fuelled bhp on the road anytime, anyplace, anywhere! How cool is that?!

After all, it's hardly 'lacking' is it?
