Fair play to anyone who does all the work and gets a six pack, but ffs please dont take every single opportunity to show it off when not appropriate to do so, it makes you look like a vain obsessed ****.

Genetics is a huge part of getting a 6 pack. If your dad had one, there's a good chance you can have one.

My main obstacle to getting one is the Huge Breakfast barm and flapjack I have just eaten, nice food or some superficial muscles for impressing women, no choice, sometime women dont seem to go for that anyway, or the blokes that do get one are usually gay or so into themselves they dont have time for women.

I have resigned myself to a 1 pack, 38 next month, it isnt going to happen !

Meh. (being serious) what's the point?

If you're healthy and looking after yourself that's enough. If it IS looks you're after - a healthy, fit person has better posture anyway.

I dunno - I agree with J4cko, it's a vanity thing.

Give me a man with a flabby belly any day, wobbly bits are so much nicer to touch

Getting a four pack is relatively easy; it's the lower abs which are difficult. Everyone has a six pack though, it's just covered in a layer of fat! It's the usual rules about creating a calorie deficit, doing crunches etc....

Sal, so, how many of those chaps in the Jockstap thread had flabby bellies then? It's ok to admit you like a bit of muscle!

Yes, I keep hitting things on your checklist, anyway I prefer to see it as famine provision and protection from the credit crunch, it also acts as a long range fuel tank for cycling.

Its not that big really, honest.

I'm not saying that I don't like muscles, I do, skinny men are not my thing at all but I prefer my partner to be a bit chubby. It makes me feel better about my own wobbly bits then
