Been invited over to Barleylands Power kite park @ the weekend ( I Can only do Sunday ) By the guy who runs it , Posts on FF AS Shrimpo , Frayz's mate

Willing to let us have a go on a few of his kites offer us advice on buggy , Boards etc ..

You will need insurance ( Just £15 Per year )

But i have just recieved a PM From he fella & as long as wee have " Applied for membership this week ( Both Frayz & i applied last week ) He will cover us on sunday to fly there

 

Will have something new to play with this weekend God help me!

Insurance
Tiny, if you and the other guys want to pop over this weekend, as you have sent off your insurance and they are supposed to get it back to you within 2 weeks, you should all be coverd, by now...

The reason we insist on it is if things go **** up, you are coverd, as it's private land.. and it's worth it for £15 a year...

So if you have not got your card by the weekend, still come over, and we will jut have to keep an eye out for any public wandering on to the field..

Just would of liked to have come with you as i know its gonna be a great day

 

I think I will come over to Barleylands anyway, even with no insurance (so no flying) I think watching some of the boarders in action will be well worth it to get some hints and tips even without be able to fly!

I will then be able to go away and try some stuff elsewhere! ....somewhere quiet......somewhere wide open.......somewhere with plenty of access for an air ambulance!

Well pleased you got a board i know you been looking for a bit

Great stuff

Tell you what mate if you have half the fun that i have had with the kites & the buggies in the last couple of months you are in for a great time , Just be patient mate , Reading up on these things it is rather a steep learning curve & alot of people say bo$$ocks to it & get in a buggy , Stick with it im sure that you will have fun .

I Really feel that some sort of elbow , Knee pads will not go a miss as well as the compulsory helmet

For me the weekends really cannot come quick enough @ the moment , It's just great to get out with the kite & av it , Best remidee for a bit of stress from the daily grind

sounds like i have missed a few giggles.

what with the family and work, have just been either to knackered or just not been able to get out.

Hopefully will be able to dust the cob webs off and get out with you guys again soon.
