Do knackered CV joints make a kind of grinding noise when they are knackered then ? It sounds like something rubbing the brake discs, that kind of noise.

The hubs/bearings didn't have any kind of play in them that I could notice when I removed them.

mine did (well touch wood it was as i changed everythin it can be) my bearing had collapsed so i just replaced that at first then the noise you describe was still there so i changed the driveshaft/cv .I got a second hand one and cleaned it out and repacked it, i also did take my old one apart and some of the grease had dried hard so maybe my wheel bearing collapsing caused extra heat, or maybe i am talking out my bk side lol lol lol

Think i have the same problem mate, like a tinny squeal from the discs/pads on the o/s/f when turning left.

Well,I thought mine was bearings but obviously not. Going to look at replacing the driveshafts now and see what happens after that

Just been doing abit of searching on here and most people who have suffered this scraping/grinding noise seem to have cured it by replacing the bearings.

I really don't know what to do now, replace the driveshafts or fit new bearings

Are any of your caliper pistons sticking? I think one of mine could be. When on a lift, all my wheels turn freely and there is a small amount of resistance from the o/s/f. And no play from any bearings.

Don't think so mate. Ive checked all that and it seems fine.

The noise from the drivers side is a definate scraping sound but only happens when turning left and only over about 30-40ish mph. The noise from the passenger side is more like a low rumbling/grinding sound and only seems to happen on near full lock.

N/S sounds like it's a shaft if it's happening on full lock.

Drivers side sounds like it could be the disc shield touching the disc.

The drivers side does sound like the disc shield is touching the disc but i've made sure it's clear of the disc and there's no visible signs of it touching anywhere
