If you are thinking american muscle car then how about a one of those new dodge Charger SRTs that are on the way? I personally would go classic Mustang, Stingray or Camaro.

VXR Monaro could be a good option if you want something more modern and able to kind of go around corners. The 350z may seem a bit tame for you coming from an EVO and Impreza, but it is a lot of fun if not as powerful as other cars mentioned.

Was the Evo disappointing then? I have been toying with the idea of an Evo IX next... if I don't do my bike test that is anyway.

I don't like jumping to conclusions, but I assume that you are "financially safe", if you are indeed planning to get a GTR.....

In which case, you want fun, rwd (lairy and scary) how about a nice Porsche GT2

Or how about a nice mkIV twin-turbo supra?

rx7, s15, m3 all get my vote too

But if you want to stay British, TVR all the way

Not at all, quite the opposite, its a really sure footed car with lots of thrills but having had AWD cars for the past four years and when the GTR arrives having AWD for some years to come i just want to spend 8 months in something that is RWD and will give me a different thrill factor

GT2 isn't something i want to get involved with prior to the GTR, i still need room to be able to move "up" in the car world after the zilla has gone some time down the road

Supra is a car i have always admired, problem is there doesn't seem to be that many decent models around!

Dude, after what I just pulled off on a roundabout (I don't condone it by the way ), you gotta buy a 205

Seriously, I had so much fun on the drive home this morning with dribbling nose and blocked throat

Sooooooo much fun for £1,000 - buy 20 of 'em
