From: will be back in another scooby in time....
cruises or car meets in the old school were diffrent from the current ones. gone the days of the Rs,cossie and the 205gti where people travelled milles just to link up and talk cars it was great... now its diffrent with every one trying to prove a point big thanxs to the fast and furious.lol
loved that movie still.
thats why i dont go to all the car meets as you never know what to expect imagine that was your car and some one smashed in to it with out insurance.
no wonder we are always getting stopped by the old bill and insurance premiums continue to rise.
the last cruise i went on was a slowboy tunnel run very mauture crowd and everyone was polite and sensible and there were a few youngsters but they were cool. and every one enjoyed it.

Far too many and's not enough ....'s, but a good effort never the less
Not a Scooby but funny all the same:
YouTube - Idiot of the year.
lol at him trying to push it over the finish line
Castle Coombe one was just someone finding the limits of the car - he was attacking that corner to say the least
Both the NSX and Scoob did the same thing at that corner so in the interests of learning, what did they do wrong (apart from the obvious entry too fast) and what could they have done to catch that - both cars drifted to the left then flicked violently. Did the drivers turn left to adjust then the tyres caught some grip and it just threw them the wrong way?

They did basically do the error you mentioned above. When the car was oversliding they "overcorrected" the steering and turned it too sharply. This unsettled the car and shifted the weight to the other side of the car losing them sudden traction.
Coombe catches alot out.
How about this poor NSX: YouTube - NSX Crash at Japfest (Roll)
At least most Imprezas are replaceable, NSXs are a bit too rare to treat as disposable items.

Yes it was expensive about £10k but only cost me my £500 excess as road insurance covered me for the Track

I was using a slight flick into all the corner at Combe. to counter the normal understeer traits of a non DCCD Scooby. This was working a treat for my last few trackdays
Unfortunately getting too high temperatures into the Tyres, my misjudment and some poor driver control equals a crash. As for the original post video I'm just glad no one was hurt.

Tony, fair play for the attacking driving, and you did it without jeopardising anyone else. Tracks are for racing after all and glad you got it fixed without too much outlay !!
as for the street racer???? LMFAO

Probably SIAL, but this is the other side of crashes, if I was this lucky I'd buy a lottery ticket.
