Someone I know says he gets 30-31mpg out of his 2006 ST

 

Knocked the ST idea on the head now. Wanted too much money for it. Typical dealer being too greedy, when they aren't selling many cars.

Bought a 6 month old 3 door Golf GT Sport 170 TDI on Saturday. Black, Black Leather, 18" R32 Alloys.

Was very impressed with the acceleration. Pick it up Wednesday after work.

Never though I'd see the day I owned a Diesel

You WILL get bored of the diesel very soon mate...I made the same mistake with a Fabia VRS.

I love ST's and would love to have the cash to afford one.

 

From a new Scirocco, to a ST and finally downscaled to a Golf GT with the tractor engine, nightmare!!

I have a deisel and an ST and I hate driving the Civic Diesel now, the ST is just so much smoother to live with.

You will regret it within a month!!

 

TBH after 2 VW dealers let me down regarding the Scirocco order, and the Ford dealer being a greedy B*stard, I just went out on the Saturday with the intention of buying something. Admittedly, a VW was the last thing on my mind. Sour taste & all that, but the had a nice example in, so went for a look.

Could have got a Scirocco, but not to the spec I wanted, so why bother? Wouldn't feel happy knowing I'd ordered one as I wanted it, yet driving around in something not as specced up.

It's totally p1ssed me off with it all. Wish I'd just kept the Scoob now.
