Last one for now. Lancia Prisma (booted Delta). By the way the others were VW Derby and Vauxhall Chevette.

The Trevi was a new model. Lancia stopped making the Beta saloon and introduced the Trevi, whilst continuing to built the Beta Coupe and Beta HPE.
Are you sure that the cabin picture isnt a Gamma?

Always fancied a poo brown Nova Saloon, with a rug on the rear shelf and one of those Christian fish symbols on the back, with a Calibra Turbo motor up front, looking dead standard.

LOL how could I forget the Saph! That was one ugly car. Well, going a little off topic here, please tell me that no-one on here has ever owned a Granada Scorpio. The one that was so ugly that you couldn't tell which was the back and which was the front.

J4cko's mate had a Salmon pink/Goldy colured 2.0 GLSi back in the day, possibly they most effeminite colour I have ever seem, and I have a Portofino Blue FIat Coupe, I cant really criticise as I had a Montego "GTI" at the time.

Why the "let's bash the saloon" session.
If you need the space, get an estate car. A hatchback is really an estate coupe anyway. A way of giving more space without the tall tail.
Saloons tend to be more secure (believed to be in some parts anyway) and they tend to be easier to repair should someone hit it up the chuff.
Anyways, no-one's mentioned the VW Bora. Not that Ithink it's an ugly car, just less popular than the Golf.
If you want ugly, try a mk5 Orion, base spec with "grey" bumpers in "baby boy's cot" blue.

Citroen Ami 6 Saloon (looked shorter than the hatchback Ami 8?)

Also, the Suzuki X90 wasn't even 4WD!

Another one: Volvo 340/360 saloon - appeared about 10 years after the original 343 hatch:

And Top Gear's first reasonably priced car was hatchback derived:
(Suzuki Liana)

And if the manufacturer doesn't stick a boot on, somebody else might
(Mitsuoka Viewt (was a Nissan Micra))

How about saloons that were cobbled together to make hatchbacks?

This is a superb thread - love the citroen and trevi.
I've started by classic car mags rather than Evo recently - just to gawp at the oddities for sale within!
Mate had a sierra saphire back in the mid 90's, it was a good cruiser and at the time no-one took the ****. I had a b-reg Orion, great car and felt a touch classier than my mates in their Chevettes and Fiesta's. Great for coming back from Brunel Rooms in the wee hours.
Scorpio, looked ruddy awful but a cheap way to get lots of comfy toys.
