just bear in mind that if you should ever compete in motor sport, Time Attack, Sprint, etc.
then many motor bike helmets are NOT sufficient.
they will have to have BS Kite mark such as the following:
FIA8860-2004
SNELL SA2005
SNELL SA2000
SFI 31.1A. 31.2A
BS6658 Type A/FR
BS6658-85 Type A
Motocross helmets are not permitted – ACU Gold or ECE 22.05 without another approval label are not sufficient.
Agree open face is good, but some protections better, as unless you have a full harness you could still have a very hard impact with the steering wheel.

Having been the passenger in a heavy accident, when my friend, managed to bend the steering wheel with his forehead and chin - Later in A&E he then stuck his tongue out through the cut below his mouth, and this despite wearing a seat belt, I would not consider and open face unless you have a full harness.
As ESB30, there are approvals to consider, if thinking of actual motorsport.
But if just for track days, then go to a bike shop and try loads on. Choice the one that fits best, should give an even pressure all the way round, if it twists when you shake your head its too loose.
Don't just by a brand because they look good or have good write up's, I always wanted an Arai, but despite trying them loads of times, they just did not fit me well.

Now although been to the pub for a few hours a couple of posts have sobered me up quite quickly
Will take on board some of your suggestions & will look for the right marks just in case (but not a CABERG as it sounds painful )
Thanks all for your input
