Cant wasps detect when another wasp has been killed? That would explain why you are getting plagued by them more than most

What do you drive? I'll keep an eye out for you, daily commute is Welwyn to Biggleswade.

I'm usually on the A41 between Kings Langley and Berkhamsted.

Horrible accident on there today between Bourne End and Hemel when I went past at about 3.00 this afternoon.

Not sure about wasps, but bees do. A pheromone is released as they die, having disembowelled themselves when they use their sting. Wasps don't commit Hari-Kiri(sp?) as their stingers have no barbs.

At least you haven't been dive-bombed whilst you're mid-stream!

They say the first sting hurts - but the second one actually can kill you

Your bodies defence can be too much from the first sting and the second one can enduce toxic shock.

Hate the little ******* ...
