When people stand back and let this sort of behaviour stand it leads to the sort of problems we are experiencing in society today.
Nope, not keeping anything back. It happened like i told you.. oh other than I dropped my sweeties when I went running to the teacher

He's not racist, but I do know 'coloured' and 'white' people that are racist.

The ones out of them all that couldn't give 2 f*cks and have a laugh are my real mates.

Racism is racism - that does includes back on white.

Why can't some of 'us' and some of 'them' just get over it?
Odds On, I am not racist. I have some best pals who are coloured. I have taught my kids not to see colour. But I find it really offensive when a friend is called a "white bitch". Nice eh!!! That is racist

You wouldn't happen to be a Fedex employee who's just found out they're facing disciplinary action following an incident today, would you?

Goodnight, have a good weekend and just forget about it
I am 'over' the actual 'incident'.. I was wondering what peoples thoughts were.. I don't expect everyone to agree with how I handled it but tbh that wasn't what the thread was about, and I certainly wasn't asking you if I had done the right thing or not.

The thread was an honest question about what other people would do in a similar situation. You could have made a comment such as 'i would have ignored it..' but you didnt.

You are the only one who has come on here making remarks aimed exactly at what I did, and pointed comments at me. You missed the point of the thread entirely and made it personal, looking for a bite? Trolling, I believe.

Goodnight.

You are right to complain to Fedex but as far as the cops are concerned, if you report it to them (cops) they will be obliged to arrest the bloke for a racist public order which may end in you attending court to give evidence against the van driver.

HHHmmmmmm, unsure if it could go this far without witnesses. What about his counterclaim? I wasn't there, and nor was anyone else, (And I'm NOT accusing little-ginge, because I wasn't there)

Let's talk hypothetically. HE (the van driver) made a counter claim that ginge called him a N****R first, there's no proof/evidence/witnesses. . . .

Or if he made a different counter claim, for example that he actually shouted "You $hite bitch!" and he was mis-heard!

To be honest, there are far worse things in the world than name calling, don't you think? I wouldn't want to see someone get sacked for calling me a name personally, and I also wouldn't get out of my car to remonstrate with someone because they stuck two fingers up at me to begin with, and it ain't cos I'm scared! It's pure and simple that the person could have a weapon/screw loose/black belt in karate/all of the above!
After all, don't we hear all about the knife culture all the time? And guys getting stabbed because the looked at someone the wrong way, or "disrespected" them?

All said and done there is one rule for one......
If a coloured gent called me 'white eye English honky' I honestly couldn't give a flying f*ck. On the other hand If I called the same coloured gent a 'N*gger' (lets assume I know he's from nigeria) or a 'black tw@t' he would probably take great offence and I could possibly be charged. What gets me though is if the same coloured gent goes up to his coloured friend and say's 'Wossup N*gger' or If P Diddly or whatever his name is wants to sing about his n*igger biatches It's fine! If no one made such a big deal about it there wouldn't be a problem! peace

I believe saying someone is 'coloured' is racist. I think the correct term is black.

If what was said offended you due to its race related content then report it to the police. I for one would not tollerate any form of racism and would ahve no hesitation informing the police or kicking thier heads in.

I'm actually in the process of writing to my MP about the issue or racism on Xbox live whihch beleive me is disgraceful and MS do nothing about it even with pressure form the police.

The sooner unaccpetable behaviour gets stamped out the better and accepting this as nat suggests is simply the reaosn why we have the problems we do thnis lazy cannot be bothered attitude is why we have the sopcial issues we do, the great british laziness.

RJM25R -I agree that there are far worse things than name calling, and yes I did think afterwards about how silly it was of me for leaving my car to speak him. It's a redhead quick reaction thing which often gets me into trouble with my other half

Jimpreza -Ginog, it's a new one to add to the ever growing ginger-ism list

What annoys me is the fact that if a white person calls a black person a racist term, it's a big no-no and everyone reacts; however, as in my instance yesterday, a black person is racist to a white person and it is it's condoned.

As for phoning and complaining, it wasn't just about the abuse etc, I also wanted to speak to them about his parking, as it was dangerous. I know delivery drivers are known for their stop and leave it parking approach, but this was dangerous for both road users and pedesrtians, most of which where i live are kids and OAP's.

Not read the replies, so soz if I repeat someone.

I don't regard him calling you a 'white bitch' racist'.

Rude as in the 'bitch' bit, but if you're white, then how's it offensive? If you were fat and he called you a fat bitch, it's just a descriptive term.

I'm forever being called a 'big dicked b@stard' and a 'good looking ******', and take it well

You call some one a black b@stard and see how un-racist it is, if they feel it is.

If he comes looking for you go to the police or give me a call! If he has to deliver to your house it will be a good slap in his face. I'm asian and muslim and I hate people who play the race, religious card when they are just as racist.

Calling someone a white bitch is a nasty, horrible thing to say and he deserves everything he gets. He was in the wrong not you!

Who is they ? coons ? pakies ? darkies ? ******* ? wogs ? ragheads ?

Believe it or not most dark skinned people manage to go about their daily lives without being racist to white people. In SOME sections of society people have realized that people born in the UK are mostly the same whatever their skin colour and 'darkies' are infact people with a variety of attitudes and opinions and on occasion 'darkies' act in ways slightly different to the way expressed by the anual darkie meeting where they all agree to fit a racist cultural stereo type.
