When I was a lad we used to respect our elders. 
Mind you when I was a lad they had rationing & gas lights & real butter.
Stuart it's 115 mile from Thurrock to Banbury & we are allowing a generous 2 hours in case it's a bit bunged up at Prodrive.
Do you have kids or a pregnant wife or an old man (like me ) that will need a comfort break?
There are services ( Shell ) at Oxford M40 J8 which are about 85 miles from Thurrock.

I'm not all that old but I will need a comfort break and my mate will as well (if he can make Sunday), stopping at Oxford services would be ideal!

Cressex is only about 70 miles from Lakeside so we should be ok on fuel.
If it's just a comfort break then we can stick with Oxford as it's about 90 miles from Thurrock. Then it's only 28 miles before we may have to queue up to get in Prodrive @ Banbury.
Looks like there may be a Shell just off the M40 on the A4177 near Prodrive Warwick.
