Clarkey,

Great looking car ! Actually what I fancy getting next is .....a Hawkeye Sti in Black ! Not that I'm in the least jealous of you at the moment ! Enjoy !

Do you reckon Prodrive springs are beneficial on that car ?

I had the wheels and spring kit fitted by the dealer just before I bought the car (did a deal ). I test drove the car without the spring kit and found the car a bit soft and wishy washy after stepping out the evo and understeery on a damp day. Not severe but noticeable on the test drive. The spring kit, wheels and new geometry set up changed the car (IMHO). But that was only cf with a brief test drive remember.

Car now handles very well and sits very planted on the road and no understeer. Not tracked it (yet) though. I still find it a little bouncey on high speed cruises though (but apparently these springs are an improvement over stock STI ones). Anyone else comment on hawkeye prodrive springs cf stock ones?

Prodrive springs are quite a big improvement over the standard STI ones IMHO. As you say the car felt a bit soft before I upgraded them. The car feels much more planted and you just feel the steering wheel does actually steer the thing, which was questionable at times before due to complete lack of feedback in cerain conditions.

Cool. Cheers folks.

PS Is the Whiteline anti-rollbar also worthwhile for Scoobies as new as this also ?

An uprated anti-Roll bar and droplinks will be a big improvement IMHO,
IIRC the STD dia is about 20mm. Dependant on you usage there is an option of uprated 20mm,22mm and 24mm ARB's. also either fixed or adjustable, get adjustable

Whiteline Anti-Roll Bars Impreza GD-GG 10/02-06 excl turbo Alfa Romeo BMW VW

perhaps on your driving style/roads/comfort level a 22mm adjustable may be OK. I do some Track work so I always gets 24mm Adjustable
