Our 5/4 will be a litle stiffer than that set up be we will soon be able to offer 4/3 for the classics to give an even smoother ride

Actually, I believe I bought the last set today, inverted ones when I rang

I did ask what the differences were and got put through to someone, but it was all above my head....

anyway, are inverted actually better than normal coilovers (cost a lot more) as I am green as grass

I've been emailing you from the calibra_ray email address about the shocks at the end of last week and today

Youre right, we found one last set of inverted

The braking system generates a lot of heat. This heat is conducted through to the damper. As the gas and oil heats up the damping properties of the damper changes. This causes inconsistant damping. Inverted dampers move the gas and oil reservoir away from the hub so reducing the amount of heat conducted through to the gas and oil thus resulting in more consistant damping.

They also use a much thicker and so stiffer damper tube so improving ridgidity, reducing flex and so minimising alignment changes. This improves the cars handling properties.

Having said all that I havent tried inverted back to back against normal so cant personally tell you that you will notice a difference, Im just telling you the theory behind them. Our Impreza runs inverted and that handles well, I can tell you that much

We are taking orders for the next batch of coilovers for all Imprezas, right through from 1992 upto the latest 2008 STi and WRX.

£549 gets you a set of four normal units, damper adjustment extenders and camber adjustable rear top mounts. I might offer rubber rear top mounts as a cheaper option to bring the price down.

What are you doing with the car, road use or a bit of track. Or mostly track? What tyres do you run?

Mainly road use (only 3k miles per year) with approx 4 track days a year. Im running std 17" sti rims with Bridgestone RE070's; currently std spec c suspension; & uprated rear anti roll bar.

On road the JDM suspension can get fidgety & get itself into a kangarooing bounce now & then. Its gets unsettled over imperfections on road.

But thats not main concern. The reason for upgrade is for better handling on track & get rid of body roll in corners & make it flatter throughout corners.

Cheers

Hi Bren,

will PnP to the UK still be £17.63 and does this statement still count:

"Just to add, all the coilovers on the new shipment now not only come with free adjuster extenders for the rear but Ive also had camber adjustable REAR top mounts added Both at no extra cost to you guys, weve absorbed the price increase"

let us know when in stock i am ready and waiting!!

6/5kg.mm will improve body control. If you want it a little more hardcore then 8/6kg.mm might be more to your taste but thats more track orientated than road orientated.

Yeah £549 for normal. Inverted are £849, we dont carry them in stock any more as people tend not to go for them so we have been concentrating on the normal units instead.

Classic GC8 1992-2000

Due January 2009, we have the following coming:

4/3kg.mm longer travel comfort type
5/4kg.mm fast road and track
6/5kg.mm more serious fast road and track

Theyre going to be £509 but wont come with the camber adjustable rear top mounts as standard. Because of the prices bouncing round Ive decided to try to keep costs so have reduced the price of the kits by the saving we make on going for rubber rather than pillowball camber adjustable.

Theyll be an additional £40 a pair if you want camber adjustable mounts

Whats available right now?

The following Impreza kits are now in the UK, and clearing customs:

12x 2000-2007 New age
5x 05+ Sti 5x114.3
2x 08+ WRX
2x 08+ STi

These are seling quickly so if you want a set get in touch asap Once again Ive under ordered the GDBs and I dont expect to have them available for long. Ill order more next time!

All the above come with damper extenders and rear camber adjustable top mounts and come in at £549 plus £17.63 carriage.

01274 683633

The prices are very good considering whats going on with the economy at the moment. Our cost price has gone up 25% since earlier in the year purely because the UK £ is worth so much less now. We have been working with BC to retain competitiveness in the face of these increases and both BC and ourselves have tightened our belts to be able to do this discounted price.
