Lee, its been a while since i looked in on how the project is going and i have to be honest, you really do deserve respect for the job you are doing and i cant believe it has come so far so quickly

Reading through what you have achieved makes me want to start getting my hands dirty, really inspiaring

Cant wait to see it on the road, it will be mental!!

Top job!
Ian

keep up the good work
cheers guys
right heres how it stands
i have got the engine in but for some reason had a bit of a struggle
it was so tight with the manifold on as it was so close to the bracket that holds the rad so i had to take the manifold off in the end as it was catching it and made a mess on my exhaust rap but not to bad tho thank god

i have now started to connect the loom up and started to plan and make brackets for the alternator/ water tank and fuel filter and all the other bits too
plus just ordered a new age power steering pump and bits so i can fit a big pipe under the manifold
will get some pics up as soon as possible

Keep up the hard work. This is the best thread around and your testing the water for a fellow Cat owner. I hope it all works out.
cheers Simon
managed to get a bit done today and started to tidy the wires up because the manifold being reversed all the wires were being stretched so got to work on that
plus the water pipe that goes to carb and idle control valve were on the rear of the engine so i made up some pipe to run under the manifold to connect them and then secured to the underneath of manifold plus cut and modded the alternator bracket and made adjustment to dipstick and made up a bracket to hold the alternator in place and also fitted my new age power steering pump
all have just been placed for now as i need clips and need to paint brackets and clean things so will get this done soon as but here are some pic's of what I've done so far
new age power steering in place but not finished yet this was done to fit bigger pipe to turbo with les restriction

carb has no water pipe running through it anymore and icv with pipes i made to run under the manifold

rear to show where pips come out

moved the dip stick over abit for room

pic of bracket to hold alternator in place

got lots more to do so hopefully get some more done by the end of the week
i also need to give it a lick of paint here and there and have decided to put new covers back over the cam wheels as they are very close to the inter cooler pipe

hi guys, got abit more done and managed to get my alloy front arms fitted as i have been waiting to get the cones that drop in to the arms for the ball joint and cotton comp sorted the parts for me again
so with my whiteline bits that i already had got them fitted and wheels are on and car is back down on the floor

i have been finishing sorting out brackets and power steering pumps done
lots more bits to go but almost there now

almost forgot did have a bit of bad luck as when i was closing my garage there was a metal bar near the garage door and it fell and hit the rear quater by the petrol cap and scraped down to the rear door

so will need it to be re sprayed at some point
some touch up and t cut for now me thinks

you'll have to come up and give it a buff scud
i have been working hard and ordered a few more bits like silicone hoses some cold air ducting tube and a roger clark spun trumpet with large k&n filter
almost sorted the air filter hose under manifold and ive mounted the fpr and the fuel filter and will almost be ready to do the parellel fuel rail conversion
still got to sort a 3 inch exhaust system out and then just odds and sods and job done
so will get the pic's up soon as
