Feel free to jump on, just for the record strictly speaking it shouldn't have been called RROD as it was just 2 lights (overheating problem) and not the 3 ring terminal hardware failure problem, since adjusting things it hasn't missed a beat. Not bad for something in use most days and according to my GT 135 games played

No Iain, it's because most PS3 owners are actually using their PS3's and not on here. Whereas the Xbox 360 boys are still waiting for their machines to be returned from Microsoft so have nothing better to do!

 

I think the sensitive ones are the cheapskates who have only 1 or the other...

I'm a PS3 owner but I don't see any point saying the 360 is garbage and people have made the wrong choice buying it like you see from a lot of 360 owners about the PS3.

Only misguided people think that the PS3 is the 'King of Consoles'. Personally it's the one I use the most but I don't see it's that much different from my 360.

Both have significant faults due to MS and Sonys differing strategies.

 

Updated to 2.40 and had no problems here playing MGS4 for hours

Use my 360 most of the time but I also use my PS3 so none of this banter winds me up

 

Lol, we are just filling in until the firmware is re-released and normal service can resume

 

Sheesh, I feel so underpriveleged that I don't have to keep a load of spare PS3s around for when they break.......

Sony's firmware was pulled because it was borking consoles, look mr sony no lights whatsoever

 

The percentage was very low I believe, but Sony would rather withdraw something that affects a few customers, unlike keep churning out somehting with a fundamental design flaw, like someone else....
