Silly little man, but if my contribution to this thread makes it anymore 'valid', then i'm quite happy to oblige!

I have no time for 'barryboys' motors, and that Corsa would be included in that assesment. Its most certainly not pushing out over 250bhp either. 2.0 16v Redtops are great engines, but that one hasn't even got throttle bodies on it, which is about the only way to get close to 250bhp without Swindon Race Engines working their magic, and then we're talking serious money.

I suppose because its a Vauxhall, I have to fawn all over it and defend it.. not so!

A Corsa with a C20XE redtop should be able to keep up with a standard WRX on the straights, but anything with a little more power than that in the Subaru range will walk away from it.

I prefer more able cars than likkle ikkle Corsas, and thats a Cavalier Turbo and V6 Astra ta

Well this is my baby it is like a second girlfriend (DON'T GET OUT MUCH THEN DO YOU LOL) ,

I have only had this car 3 month i bought it for 4,650(RIPPED OFF)
I bumpt it a thew week ago and the police found out about the engine and all the modifications done to it so i have no choice but to sell it.(AND A LAW BREAKER TO BOOT HAA HAA ****)

I am going to fully repair the car (SHED) it is only a little bump nothing majour ([B]PROBABLY CAUSED BY TRYING TO RACE A SUBARU PROVING HE IS A SUBARU KILER)/B])

But in a way it is because of the paint job(WHICH PROBABLY COST MORE THAN THE CAR ****).

But any way the car is going to look like it will on the pictures**** so have no worries, if it was up to me i would keep it buti am only 18 and i have no chance with th insurence(OR SEELING IT UNLESS IT'S TO ONE OF YOUR CHAV MATES).

PLEASE NOTE: THESE PICTURES WERE BEFORE I BOUGHT IT ON EBAY thank's

Specifications:

the car has 126 on the clockWOW but has a fully rebult engine , super chip(MUST BE SUPER TO GET THE POWER U ARE CLAIMING MATE), cams, airfilter, the engine has been looked after and had alot of money spent on it(MUG).

Beats any subaruz (LIAR)

i am telling you now his car is unbeliveable fast!!(WHY ARE YOU TALKING IN THE 3RD PERSON) iam only 18 and i honestly dont want to sell the car it is unbeliveable.

When i am driving down the streets they all fink awww its only a 1,2 , but when the get up the rear and i shoot off, the colour on the there face haha owell. (YEAH BECAUSE THEY ARE LAUGHING AT YOU SOO HARD DUMBASS)

Who ever buys the car they will be centre of attention (YEAH I BET YOU WILL FOR ALL THE WRONG REASON PAL)of every car cruise they go to.

if you have any questions please give me a text 07784620176 (AND TELL ME WHAT I TOOL I AM)p/x welcome , no lower than a 1.4 please

Wasn't it the brainchild of Simon Wood and Tony Shute? I remember reading years ago in Performance Car how they devised the concept and then put it into production.

Was originally going to be a Lotus Astra, binned that because of being FWD, then they were going to do a Lotus Senator, but opted for the Carlton instead.

Shame, a Imperial Green Senator would have looked proper menacing.

I will give im his dues

They are a good car and possibly beat a few standard 2000 subarus out there but when he comes to a corner or a speed bump. he would be screw'd

Might be quick but no were near a scooby quick.

Nice looking car but its for show not for speed.

Have to agree here....i have a Mark 3 astra with 2.0 redtop engine in it and theres no way on this earth this thing on Piston-Heads has 250bhp.
I had my engine total rebuilt before i fitted it, oversize pistons, flowed and ported head, cams, fuel pump, regulator, lightened flywheel etc etc and at the best i reckon its putting out 180bhp....for anywere near 250bhp your talking big bucks; ive seen a rally prepared redtop running at 248bhp, with nearly £10k spent on the engine!!

This really bugs me to be honest, all these people out there who buy a car, strap on an air filter and exhaust and claim the car has over over 200bhp and is 'chipped' and it will "blow away anything n the road"....aye right

As for a corsa redtop beating a WRX....yep i have seen manys a redtop corsa blowing away an impreza on the straights....big deal, an impreza isnt about straights anyway

Kevin

My first post, and i don't own a scooby, my friend does.

I own a corsa redtop, and i come on here to check out some scoobys as my friend said some are absolutly lovely, which i doubt think he right, from what i see so far some real nice one's!

But that corsa redtop, the first one is a raging piece of ****, over-chav'd bucket of crap, but i do like the suble look on a corsa, i'll post a picture of mine in the gallary, (looks like a standard sport, with speedlines really..)

I think alot of people call their cars "scooby eaters" because well everyone has heard of a scooby, so if you have something that can keep it or even get close, but to have it as a sticker on your car the word "prat" comes right to mind!

The xe engine in a corsa, with the right brakes of course is one lovely combo!

Hi im Kevin..
