Yeah they look really shabby on a race track

It's amazing how they manage to get them around the corners

PS I don't hate American cars, give me one of the new shape Corvette's any day of the week, I just think those Camaro's look crap regardless of how well built they are, cheap to run, or powerful, or how quick they may be when modded - I would rather have a Multipla.

Well that's ok as its your opinion. But honestly in 3 years of ownership you are the first to say such a thing. And I've been many places with the car such as exhibited at a classic & sports car show with over 1500 entrants, yet still regularly here positive comments and have people taking pics.

Just so you know, many of the components on a Vette are the same as those on an Fbody.

What exactly don't you like about the looks anyway? I think you are being a bit blunt unless you simply hate coupes period. Again not trying to sway, but it's rather a sweeping statement, like someone saying a F430 looks crap. Well it sure isn't the best looking car in the world but damn park it next to a Fiesta and it's an easy winner on looks.

BTW - there you again with the crap. Mulitpla.

Please think what you are saying and stop being a tit. If you want something fast, individual, sporting you would not look at a Multipla.

If you'd said a Nissan 350z then yep its a descent comparison. But come on man..............................................

The front looks like its been melted in the sun and has dripped over the bottom of the windscreen and over the wing mirrors as its being driven forward, it sits far too high, the all glass roof section looks like an 80's coupe or Subaru SVX, the side overhang is terrible, it has no stance whatsoever and the rear is just naff. My point with the Multpila was that I would rather put up with an ugly MPV than a Camaro even if it meant not owning a coupe.

I love coupes, have had lots this past few years, but not the Camaro - you will never sell me on this, my uncle had one when he lived on Florida and he hated it as well.

You should just accept that I think its a very ugly car, and I seriously doubt I am the only person with this opinion. I wouldn't have one given, sorry

US M3 Forum with 80k members thinks otherwise:

Couple of posts from here LS1 camaro to E46 M3? - Page 3 - BMW M3 Forum.com (E30 M3 | E36 M3 | E46 M3 | E92 M3)

I have beaten several LS1 camaros and trans ams with my M3. Out of the hole I just kill them, the M3 has a much smarter drivetrain and is much more efficient at putting power down. I get a length on them in in 1st gear usually, I can continue to pull on them until about 80mph when they start keeping up. From a roll it's not as bad but I still pull them. But regardless, I think the OP is asking the right questions. He knows there is a significant difference between these 2 cars. I'll put it thisa way, if you like racing, get a vette and turbo it. If you like performace driving, and the relationship between man and machine, In my opinion, you cannot do better with any car for the money.I have owned both camaro's and obviously an M3. It's fun racing the camaro, but that's it. It's fun DRIVING the M3, anytime, anywhere. It feels like a horse on steroids and it feels like you are always holding the car back. It always wants to run. You feel very connected to the machine on a level that GM hasn't quite figured out yet. And lets not forget the sound.......ah the sound........ LS who?........ oh sorry, i forgot what i was doing.........Forget this typing, I'm going for a drive!

IMO, Quarter Mile times aren't everything... To me, its about having a better built, better handling, better looking car that has its fair share of speed. The M3 is about track times, not drag times... When you choose what's more important to you, then you'll pick the right car for you.

well, straight line performance wise m3's and ls1's are very comparable, stock vs stock that is.

but your going to love the m3 soo much much, its just such a better car, the handling, brakes, feel, looks, etc.

and the fact that it pushes out 333hp out of 3.2 is still very impressive.

less of this American stuff as that was not my original question but I appreciate the suggestion, they are just not my thing/dont interest me (left hooker is the main thing to put me off American cars).

Back on topic......................

SCNET heh, things dont stay on topic for long do they. If your really looking for an impreza alternative but still want the buzz, try an M COUPE, based on the Z3 and a cracking car, bullit proof build, hold fantastic value, 321 BHP RWD and a real drivers car. I have been looking for a track weapon come weekend driver and it fits the bill. Or a porsche 968 Club Sport again another value proof proven car or an E46 M3 all the motoring mags rave about them. It's a difficult choice, but they are mine for the non scoob view, but again i'm struggling to stay away from another impreza. Good luck and let us know your choice.
